UPPER DUBLIN SOFTBALL PREVIEW

·         Head Coach: Heather Boyer; 15thseason (Assistants – Kristy Heyser & Ellie Knise)

·         Last Year’s Record: 2-9 SOL, 3-13 overall

·         Key Losses: Rachel Mintz, 2ndBase; Becky Starosta, Shortstop

·         Key Returnees:  SENIORS:  Shannon Bolger, Catcher & Toni Hartman, 1B/OF  
JUNIORS:  Kristin Ganderton, Pitcher; Nichole Moran, SS/2B/OF/P; Ashleigh Sharp, CF/SS/P; Gianna Tino, OF/2B
SOPHOMORES:  Rachel Hyman, 3B

·         Others to Watch: 

JUNIORS: Sarah Rosenbaum, 1B
FRESHMAN: Rachel Matricardi, C/OF

·         Strengths: We have a number of players who have experience in multiple positions, so that gives us some versatility.  We also have a freshman class that offers a lot of great potential in the next few years.

·         Question Marks: Experience at the plate; with 24 out of 26 players on the roster underclassmen, there are a lot of new faces.  We need to be aggressive at the plate and make sure that we learn quickly!

·         Outlook: With good pitching and consistent defensive, we are optimistic that we will stay competitive in each game this season.
