Garnet Valley is the unanimous choice as the No. 1 team in both the PIAA and All Schools divisions of the PA Media Girls’ Lacrosse Rankings released today.
The Jaguars, who improved to 3-0 last week, received all 10 first-place votes in both polls and piled up 100 points.
Each week a panel of 10 journalists from around the state and the Mid-Atlantic region ranked Pennsylvania’s top teams. The panel includes Chris Goldberg of Phillylacrosse.com, Dennis C. Way of the Norristown Times Herald, Scott Johnston of EmmausSports.com, Matthew Blymier of the Lancaster Intelligencer, Karen Sangillo of the Bucks County Courier Times, Harry Chaykun, formerly of the Delco Times, Brad Spahr of the Daily Local News, Dave Assad of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Matt Chandik of the Delco Times and Evan Burgos of the Philadelphia Inquirer. The poll is compiled by Goldberg.
