CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 12, WISSAHICKON 11
The Bucks won a thriller in a classic non-league battle Wednesday when Paige Savard scored the game winner with 1:19 remaining. Savard is a recent addition to the varsity and has wasted little time before making an impact.
Senior Tara Shugars led the Bucks with four goals and one assist while sophomore Elna Romesburg added the hat trick. Jess Circuit (one assist) and Savard both added a pair of goals. Steph Cooper added a goal and an assist while Sarah Gebre added an assist.
Laura Frankenfield led the Trojans with four goals and three assists while Lauren Irvine and Zoe Gomez both contributed the hat trick. Alana Stutman added a single goal.
Kyra Bregere was credited with nine saves in goal for the Bucks in a contest that saw the Trojans hold a 25-22 advantage in shots.
UPPER DUBLIN 15, UPPER MERION 1
Four players – Emily Hitchings, Kelly Cross, Brooke Callahan and Julie Cross - contributed the hat trick to lead a balanced Flying Cardinal attack. Callahan also had three assists while Kelly and Julie Cross both had one assist. Anna Trentini and Taylor D’Ginto both contributed one goal and one assist, and Rachel DiFrangia scored a goal to close out the Upper Dublin scoring.
Dominique Gambone scored Upper Merion’s lone goal, using an assist from Mel Ryan.
Upper Dublin goalie Sarah Gallagher was credited with two saves while Upper Merion’s Ally Frymoyer had nine saves.
CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 14, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 9
Senior Maddie DiBrino, sophomore Devon Dietzel and freshmen Emily Cliggett and Corrinne Kenney each connected the hat trick to lead the Titans to the win over their neighboring rival. Cliggett also had three assists while DiBrino had a pair of assists and Dietzel and Kenney had one assist each. Sophomores Megan Hamilton and Mackenzie Harding both had one goal and two assists. Junior Alisa Morelli and senior Brynn Dietzel each contributed one assist.
The Patriots were by the three-goal efforts of Marissa Glatt and Mary Kate Schwartz (one assist). Sam Axenroth had four assists. Maggie Stella, Kelly Lapp and Laura Betrus each added one goal. Stella and Lapp both added an assist. Julia Norek also had an assist for the Patriots.
Titan goalie Leslie Searles was credited with a season-high 16 saves.
