CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, UPPER DUBLIN 0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-20)
Christian Rupert had a big night at the net for the Bucks, contributing 14 kills and five blocks. Mike Fehrs (10 kills, two aces, five digs) and Joel Lapper (10 kills) also made important contributions. Setter Matt Hennigan had 25 assists.
The Bucks improved to 12-3 while the Flying Cardinals fell to 3-11.
PENNSBURY 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-18)
The Falcons clinched sole possession of the National Conference crown with Monday’s win. They were led by the performances of Sean Kropp (eight kills, .500, one ace, nine digs, two blocks), Pat Merrick (12 kills, .346, three aces, five digs, three blocks) and Dalton Zimmerman (seven kills, .583, three blocks). Troy Pereira led the defense with eight digs. Setter Jeff Yasalonis contributed 29 assists to go along with one ace, one kill and one dig. Neil Helsel (one kills, two blocks) and Chris Spano (four kills, three aces, seven digs, one block) also contributed.
For the Panthers, Justin Keeny led the defense with 15 digs. Nick Gross had 14 kills to lead the attack, and Brian Ebert had three aces.
While the Panthers fell to 6-5 in the league (7-5 overall), the Falcons closed out their league season with an 11-1 mark. They are 12-1 overall with one non-league match remaining.
SOUDERTON 3, NORTH PENN 1 (24-26, 25-11, 25-18, 25-22)
The Knights won game one of Monday’s SOL showdown, but the Indians, who celebrated Senior Night, rallied to win the next three.
Andrew Diesel had a big night at the net, contributing 20 kills and four blocks. Chris Kluka added 10 kills and five blocks. Tim Jones had five kills and two blocks. Setter Gabe Clemmer had 40 assists and two aces. Greg Mazza led the defense with 13 digs while Matt Wittig had three kills and 10 digs.
While the Knights fell to 9-6, the Indians improved to 12-3 in the league (13-4 overall).
CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, QUAKERTOWN 1 (25-17, 25-21, 25-15)
The Patriots celebrated Senior Night by sweeping the Panthers in three games. Seniors Anthony Cupo, Jack Perrotta and Nick DeSalvo were honored.
Nick Bennet (11 kills, four aces, six digs, four blocks) and Kyle Dolf (eight kills, five aces, 13 assists, three blocks, three digs) led the Patriots. Perrotta had six kills and one block while Trevor Clemens had 11 assists and six digs. Both Mike Donovan and Colby Tallia had four digs.
The Patriots improved to 8-7 in the league (9-7 overall) while the Panthers closed out their season with a 6-10 mark.
