HH 4 @ North Penn 1 - Baseball Score

Hatters senior left-handed pitcher Casey O'Donnell led the Hatters to a 4-1 victory that clinched an outright SOL Continental Conference Championship. O'Donnell pitched a complete game allowing just 2 hits and 1 walk in the 7 innings while striking out 8.



The Hatters got on the board in the third inning when catcher Kyle Scannell singled and stole second base. Tyler Zingle then singled off of North Penn pitcher Bryce Mengel's leg and the ball carried into the outfield. Scannell scored and Zingle advanced to third when the throw home was errant. Conner Crookham then singled home Zingle to give the Hatters a 2-0 lead. The Hatters scored again in the 6th inning when Crookham doubled and scored on Chris Hens' RBI single to make it 3-0. The Hatters went up 4-0 in the 7th inning when Ryan Kelly tripled and he scored on a bunt by Kyle Scannell.



North Penn scored in the bottom of the 7th inning when Brady West singled home Chris Boroch who had walked. Bryce Mengel took the loss in a complete game effort while striking out 4 and walking 0.
