Garnet Valley has retaken the No. 1 spot in the PIAA and All Schools polls in the PA Media Girls’ Lacrosse Rankings released today.
The 20-1 Jaguars, who advanced to the District 1 semifinals and won the Central League title, received all 10 first-place votes in both polls and piled up 100 points.
Each week a panel of 10 journalists from around the state and the Mid-Atlantic region ranked Pennsylvania’s top teams. The panel includes Chris Goldberg of Phillylacrosse.com, Dennis C. Way of the Norristown Times Herald, Scott Johnston of EmmausSports.com, Matthew Blymier of the Lancaster Intelligencer, Karen Sangillo of the Bucks County Courier Times, Harry Chaykun, formerly of the Delco Times, Brad Spahr of the Daily Local News, Dave Assad of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Evan Burgos of the Inquirer and Matt Chandik of the Delco Times. The poll is compiled by Goldberg.
