The season: We have a number of strong returning players. However, there is a lot of strong competition within our league. William Tennent always plays well, Council Rock South, Abington, & Neshaminy are always formidable opponents both at our home course (Yardley CC) and especially at their home courses. Council Rock North has been the league champion for a number of years and State Champion two years ago. They will be the yardstick against which all of the teams in our league will have to be measured against.
Last year we qualified 10 players (a Suburban One League record) for the individual tournament. Also, we captured the Suburban One League wild-card spot to go to the PIAA District 1 Team tournament. Four of the 10 that qualified, moved on to the PIAA District 1 Individual Tournament . All of them are returning (del Vecchio, Foll, Ramesh, & Rogowicz). Jackie finished the post season: 1st in the Suburban One League Girls Tournament, 4th in the PIAA District 1 Tournament, 1st in the PIAA Eastern Regional Tournament, and 2nd in the PIAA State Championship.
Rogowicz and Ramesh have played in four or five AJGA events this summer. They both have also played in a number of IJGT & Philadelphia PGA Junior Tour events along with del Vecchio, Foll, and Kaufmann.
