WISSAHICKON BOYS’ CROSS COUNTRY PREVIEW

Head Coach:  Bill Gallagher (30th year)

Last year’s record:  6-0 SOL, 9-1 overall

Key performers lost:  Sam Brooks, Dan Center, Scott Lange, Alex Yi

Key returners:  Sawyer French – 12, Nick Gude -12, Tristan Marcelis – 11

Others to watch:  Eric Bussart – 12, Dan Graeff – 11, Alex Walker – 11, Lukas Marcelis – 9

Strengths:  1. Good work ethic. The team has been working hard all preseason. 2. Senior leadership.

Question marks:The team has 22 runners at the end of preseason of which five are juniors, five sophomores, and seven freshmen. This year we are very inexperienced so it will depend on how quickly they can step-up to the varsity level.

Outlook:  To be competitive in the Suburban American Conference.

First Meet:  Phil-Mont Academy @ home (9-5-12)
