NORRISTOWN 2, UPPER MERION 0
The Eagles earned an important SOL win on Friday when they downed their neighboring rival. Vanessa Fosco (Emma Hagel assist) and Natalie Mitchelle (Fosco assist) scored goals for the Eagles. Coach Stacie Staufenberg lauded the smart play of senior wing/back Monica Levins and sophomore back Emma Hagle. Norristown goalie Jess Grose recorded eight saves in the shutout.
The Eagles are 1-0 in league play (1-1 overall) while the Vikings are 0-1 in the league (0-2 overall).

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 2, HATBORO-HORSHAM 1
The Golden Hawks won a thriller on Friday when – with no time remaining on the clock – Colleen Kirlin scored the game winner during corner play. Rock South was awarded a corner with 27 seconds remaining and the two teams deadlocked 1-1.
The two teams battled to a scoreless halftime tie, and the Hatters took a 1-0 lead 10 minutes into the second half when Casey Swezey (Colby Eldridge assist) connected. The Golden Hawks tied the game 19 minutes into the half on a goal by Mollie Sheehy (Kristen Meihofer assist), setting the stage for the dramatic finish.
The Golden Hawks upped their early season record to 3-1 while the Hatters are 1-1.

BENSALEM 1, CONWELL EGAN 0
The two teams found themselves locked in a scoreless tie at halftime. Egan went on top 1-0 after a goal by Regina Milburn (Shannon Stricker assist) at the 20:03 mark of the second half, but the Owls rallied to knot the score when Mariah Reed connected with 3:45 remaining in regulation, setting the stage for a scoreless overtime period. The Owls are 0-1-1 on the season.

HARRY S TRUMAN 5, MORRISVILLE 1
Christine Hoon connected for the hat trick to propel the Tigers to the convincing non-league win on Friday. It was Hoon who put the Tigers on the scoreboard, using an assist from Mikaela Pacheco. The Tigers took a 2-0 lead into halftime after Pacheco scored with an assist from Crystal Wheeler.
In the second half, Hoon added a pair of goals, the second with another Pacheco assist, and Anne Estrella closed out the scoring with an unassisted goal.
Coach Dawn Cantwell lauded the performances of Kelsey Hackbart and Sabrina Martin in her team’s first win of the season.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 5, PENNSBURY 0
The Bucks turned in yet another impressive offensive performance, this time against the Falcons in a non-league tilt on Friday. Kim Hitchcock (Ginny Moore assist) put the Bucks on the scoreboard, and then Heather Zezzo turned a Moore assist into a goal to put the Bucks on top 2-0. Another Zezzo goal, this one with an assist from Maddie Shields, sent the Bucks into halftime with a 3-0 lead.
Moore scored off a rebound of a goalie save, and Zezzo’s completed her hat trick when she scored for the 5-0 final, this time using an assist from Erick Siorelli.
Assistant coach Joanna Irey lauded the performances of Hitchkock, Moore and Zezzo as well as defender Jacqueline Fitzgerald. Irey was filling in for first-year coach Casey Hughes, who was out of town for her brother’s wedding.
The Bucks improved to 4-0 on the young season while the Falcons fell to 1-2.

PENNRIDGE 7, JENKINTOWN 1
The Rams dominated play against the Drakes in a non-league game on Friday. Jess Tennett (Melissa Herd) got the ball rolling for the Rams with an early goal, and then Kari Moyer scored with an assist from Kyra Preston. An Addy Marshall goal (Ben Van Pelt assist) was followed by Moyer’s second goal of the half, sending the Rams into halftime with a 4-0 lead. The Rams outshot the Drakes 14-3 in the half.
Tennett opened the second half with back-to-back goals, the first with an assist from Van Pelt. Marshall scored an unassisted goal to put the Rams on top 7-0 before the Drakes got on the scoreboard with a goal from Haley Smith.
The Rams, who upped their record to 2-1, held a 25-7 advantage in shots and a 9-6 edge in corners. Ram goalie Natasha Nagle was credited with three saves.

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 4, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST
Alex Kuzma and Gabby Tofig each connected for a pair of goals to lead the Indians to the non-league win. Amrit Ahluwalia added a pair of assists, and Madison Gouza also had an assist for the Indians, who improved to 2-1. The Patriots saw their record fall to 0-3.
