National Conference
ABINGTON 6, HARRY S TRUMAN 1
Jackie Farides (Katherine Geating assist) scored just 30 seconds into Friday’s game, but it took the Tigers just six minutes to answer back with Kelsey Hackbart scoring using an assist from Christine Hoon. The Ghosts scored 90 seconds later when Cate Hughes connected, using a Kate Tarasiewicz assist. Lizzie Petermichl closed out the scoring in the first half with back-to-back goals, using assists from Clare Rowley and Dana Miller to send the Ghosts into halftime with a 4-1 lead.
In the second half, Gabby Rights connected (Grace Troyer assist), and then it was Faith Geating, in a rare stint out of goal, crossing the ball to Tarasiewicz for the game’s final score.
Truman goalie Maria Dea had five saves.
The win was the first of the league season for the Ghosts (2-3, 1-3 SOL). The Tigers are 0-4 in the league (1-4 overall).
NESHAMINY 4, WILLIAM TENNENT 0
The Redskins sprinted to a 3-0 lead over the visiting Panthers. Brittany Sheenan got the ball rolling with a goal at the 17:28 mark, using an Annie Kopera assist. Sheenan made it a 2-0 game when she scored again at the 5:47 mark, once again with an assist from Kopera. Abby Alexis (Amanda Binczewski) scored 50 seconds later, and the Redskins led 3-0.
Alexis (Sheenan assist) connected on her second goal of the day 10 minutes into the second half for the 4-0 final.
While the Panthers fell to 2-2 in league play (2-3 overall), the Redskins upped their record to 4-0 in the league (4-1 overall)
COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, PENNSBURY 0
The Indians remained perfect in league play with their 3-0 win over the Falcons on Friday. Gabby Tofig scored a pair of goals while teammate Alex Kuzma added a goal. Madison Gouza contributed a pair of assists. The Indians are 4-0 in league play (5-1 overall) while the Falcons are 1-3 in the league (1-5 overall).
COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 9, BENSALEM 0
The Golden Hawks exploded for six first half goals. Colleen Kirlin (Kristen Meihofer assist) got things started with a goal seven minutes into the opening half. Two minutes later Alexis Carroll scored. That 2-0 lead held up until Brittany Tomlinson (Carroll assist) scored midway through the half, and that score was followed by a Katie Bagdon goal (Donahue assist). Another Tomlinson goal was followed by a goal from Nikki Boyd (Meihofer assist), sending the Golden Hawks into halftime with a 6-0 lead.
Meihofer (Bagdon assist), Carroll and Molly Sheehy (Bagdon assist) each scored a second half goal for the 9-0 final.
While the Owls fell to 0-4 in the league (0-4-1 overall), the Golden Hawks kept pace with the Redskins and Indians, upping their record to 4-0 in the league (6-1 overall).
Continental Conference
QUAKERTOWN 1, NORTH PENN 0 (OT)
Josh Schwarz connected for a goal four minutes into overtime, using an assist from Sara Reigh) to propel the Panthers to the dramatic win. The win was the first in league play for the Panthers (3-3, 1-3 SOL).
The Panthers held a 10-8 edge in corners, but the Maidens had a 14-8 advantage in shots.
North Penn goalie Chessa Kownurko was credited with seven saves while Quakertown’s Maddie Calder had four saves.
The Maidens fell to 0-3 in league play (0-6 overall).
CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 2, HATBORO-HORSHAM 0
The Titans had the better of play against the Hatters in a game played on South’s grass field Friday.
“It was an ugly game,” South co-coach Marie Schmucker said. “It was very slow – everything was slow.
“It’s just an ugly game on grass, but we found a way to win.”
The Hatters had just four corners in the contest to 14 for the Titans, but they trailed by just a 1-0 score until the Titans scored a goal with 15 seconds remaining in the contest.
"The game was back and forth the whole time," Hatters' coach Laura Swezey said. "We had pushed up to try to tie it, and they got a fast break for their second goal."
Megan Hamilton spotted the Titans that 1-0 lead with 5:10 remaining in the first half.
Hatter goalie Emily Braunewell had seven saves while her counterpart had four.
As a result of Friday’s win, the Titans are the lone unbeaten team in the conference, upping their record to 4-0 in the league (6-0 overall). The Hatters are 3-1 in the league (3-2 overall).
American Conference
WISSAHICKON 11, CHELTENHAM 2
Senior Emily Gallagher contributed three goals and two assists while Jackie Hibbs had two goals and four assists in an explosive offensive performance by the Trojans. Marie Dickson added a pair of goals while Angela Virgu, Lauren Marolla, Catherine Campbell and Lindsay Anderson each added single goals. Ashley Laskowitz had two assists and Melanie Fry, one assist.
Trojan goalies Emoni Fisher (two saves) and Clair Tarzia (three saves) combined for five saves while Cheltenham goalie Emily Hawkins turned away 33 shots in a busy afternoon.
The Trojans improved to 3-1 in league play (4-2 overall) while the Lady Panthers are 0-4 in the league (0-6 overall).
UPPER MERION 1, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 0
Lindsay Zamites scored the only goal of the game with 17 seconds remaining in the first half. Danielle Antonucci was credited with the assist.
“We pulled together as a team to hang on to the 1-0 lead throughout the entire second half,” coach Angie Yanocha said. “It was a back and forth game the entire game.
“My girls played with intensity, and you could tell how badly they wanted the win. There is always a rivalry between us and PW, so this was a sweet victory for my team.”
Viking goalie Devyn Antonucci was credited with seven saves in the shutout.
The Colonials (2-4) and Vikings (2-3) are both 2-2 in league play.
SPRINGFIELD 2, NORRISTOWN 0
In a battle of the conference’s lone unbeaten squads, the Spartans had the upper hand, taking a 1-0 lead into halftime and adding a goal in the second half. Sydney Campbell and Adrienne Baer both scored for the Spartans.
While the Eagles fell to 3-1 in the league (3-2 overall), the Spartans are 4-0 in league play (5-0 overall).
UPPER DUBLIN 2, UPPER MORELAND 0
Jennifer Harchut scored just over three minutes into the first half to send the Flying Cardinals into the intermission with a 1-0 lead. Alycia Hildebrand (Samantha Boyd assist) scored six seconds into the second half for the 2-0 final.
Upper Dublin goalie Dana Russell was forced to make just two saves in the shutout. The Flying Cardinals held a 12-3 advantage in shots on goal and a 10-5 edge in corners.
Upper Dublin evened its league record at 2-2 (2-4 overall) while Upper Moreland fell to 0-4 in the league (0-6 overall).

SOUDERTON 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 0
The Indians won their second game in as many days on Thursday, opening up a 1-0 halftime lead after a goal by Abbey Gabriel (Meghan McDermott assist) midway through the opening half.
Tabatha Almond (McDermott assist) scored at the 11:09 mark of the second half, and Gabriel gave the Indians some breathing room when she connected for her second goal of the day, this one with 4:49 remaining using an Alyssa Ziegler assist for the 3-0 final.
“We played a good game today,” coach Lauren Whiteside said. “Coming off of back-to-back games is always hard, and my girls showed what they were made of today.
“We continue to improve each game, which is exactly what we want to do. Abbey Gabriel played a great game, finding the back of the net twice, and Tabatha Almond also had a great game and was able to generate offensive opportunities for us.”
While the Patriots fell to 1-3 in league play (1-5 overall), the Indians upped their league mark to 3-1 (3-2 overall).
CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, PENNRIDGE 1
Virginia Moore scored a pair of goals and assisted on another as the Bucks rebounded from their only loss of the season on Wednesday to get back on the winning track. Moore scored both of her goals in the first half to send West into halftime with a 2-0 lead. The Rams cut that lead in half, but senior Heather Zezzo answered with a goal for the Bucks, using an assist by Moore for the 3-1 final.
Coach Casey Hughes lauded the standout performance of Moore. The first-year coach also acknowledged the standout defensive performances of senior Mackenzie Gallagher and junior Caitlyn Lowry.
“Our team played solid,” Hughes said.
The Bucks are 3-1 in league play (6-1 overall) while the Rams fell to 1-3 in the league (3-3 overall).
CHRISTOPHER DOCK 1, UPPER DUBLIN 0
The Pioneers opened up a 1-0 halftime lead, and the Flying Cardinals never could find the cage in Thursday’s non-league game.
Goalie Julia McKernan was credited with seven saves for the Flying Cardinals (1-4). Dock held a 13-5 advantage in corners.
