HATBORO-HORSHAM 3, WISSAHICKON 0 (25-4, 25-20, 25-23)
It was a team effort for the Hatters on Thursday night. Lauren Laucella, Quinn O’Donnell, Sam Jones and Lauren Hill led the offense with 14 kills combined. The team had 17 service aces with Jones contributing six of them. Candyce Riley added four and Lauren Yanni, three. Hannah Steiger dished out 10 assists and served for 12 points. Yanni served a total of 11 points. Katie McKay and Laucella led the team in blocks with four each.
For the Trojans, Ashley Anderson delivered a nine-point service run in the second set to put the Trojans on top 13-12. Anderson’s passing, according to coach Mary Copelli, was also solid. The Trojans’ coach also noted that Aleve Erhan played a good game at the net.
WILLIAM TENNENT 3, BENSALEM 0 (25-7, 25-8, 25-9)
The suddenly streaking Panthers won their third match of the week with their sweep of the Owls. Junior CC Weir had 12 aces to lead a strong serving game.
CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, QUAKERTOWN 0 (25-23, 25-16, 25-13)
Coach Ulana Keer experimented with several lineups in her team’s sweep of the Panthers. Abby Mummert (10 kills, three aces, four digs), Lauren Wise (eight kills, three aces), Jax Babezki (nine kills, three aces), Jackie Haffey (five kills), Ally Horvath (three kills, two digs) and Danilowicz (four kills) made important contributions. Cecilia Miller led the defense with five digs while Caitlyn McCrory added four. Setter Madi Conroy had 22 assists, and Lindsay Edling added seven.
CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, SOUDERTON 0 (25-10, 25-18, 25-10).
The Bucks continued to roll through Continental Conference play, upping their record to 9-0 (11-0 overall). The Bucks were led by Maddie Klun (10 kills, two digs, one block, one ace), Rachel Baker (six kills, three aces, three digs) and Alicia West (six kills, three aces, one dig). Jess West had 22 assists, six digs and two kills. Rachel Farnin added eight digs, and Kelly McKinstry had six aces and four digs.
For the Indians, Bekah Ford contributed three kills, Cori Watson had seven assists, and Alexa Kluka had six digs and two aces.
UPPER DUBLIN 3, NORRISTOWN 0 (25-7, 25-23, 25-21)
Taylor Stek led the Flying Cardinals at the net with 12 kills. Gabbi Johnson, Melanie Phifer, Sarah McMenamin and Taylor D’Ginto added three kills each. D’Ginto had three aces, Johnson, two aces, and Phifer, one ace.
CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, NORTH PENN 0 (25-19, 31-29, 25-17)
The Patriots were led at the net by the seven-kill efforts of Courtney Kauffman and Rachel Clow. Hannah Lunak had five kills. Haley Echelmeier and Caroline Davis each had four service aces.
It was the Patriots’ performance on defense, according to coach Scott Geller, that was the difference in the match. Laura Kennedy led the defense with 14 digs while Clow and Echelmeir both added 11. Erin Lane added eight digs and Davis, six digs. Davis was credited with 18 assists.
