Upper Moreland saw its season end in the quarterfinal round of District One AA play on Wednesday when the Golden Bears fell to Lower Moreland 3-2. The Lions struck first five minutes into the game, but senior midfielder Nate Roberts answered with a goal for Upper Moreland. The Lions responded with a goal to go into halftime on top 2-1. The Lions upped that lead to 3-1 before Dale Murphy scored a late goal for the 3-2 final. The Golden Bears closed out their season with an 8-10-1 mark.

- Nine shutouts in the regular season
Round One Summary: The #13 Indians maintained their composure for 93 minutes to top #20 Radnor 2-1 in overtime. Although the Raiders scored first, Wilson Gonzalez tied it for Big Red and sent the game into overtime. Standout Ryan Molyneaux scored the game-winner in overtime.
Conestoga

Round One Summary: The #15 Falcons battled past #18 Upper Darby for a 2-1 win in round one, rallying from an early 1-0 deficit. Sam Uprichard scored the equalizer in regulation, and Alex Tennant scored the game-winner 10 minutes into overtime.
Great Valley

- Started the season with a 1-0 upset of the defending state champion, Conestoga
- Lost to #1 WC Rustin 1-0 on 9/27, dropping them to second place in the American Division

Round One Summary: The 10th-seeded Aces rallied past #23 Central Bucks West 2-1, avenging a regular season loss to the Bucks. The Bucks scored first, but their lead was short-lived as Eli Cohen and Trevor Yu both scored goals to put the Aces on top.
North Penn

- Third place Continental Conference
- Boast a seven-game winning streak
- Beat Holy Ghost Prep (2-1) to close out regular season
Round One Summary: The Knights defeated #26 Strath Haven in a tightly contested battle that was decided in overtime. Matt Robinson scored both goals for #7 North Penn.

Abington

- Fourth place National Conference

Round One Summary: The 19th-seeded Ghosts upset #14 Harriton 2-1 in the opening round, recovering from an early 1-0 deficit. Chris Tracey buried the tying goal while Kyle Rocks sealed the victory with a goal in the 58th minute.

Council Rock South

- CR South defeated Neshaminy 2-0 in their first league matchup and tied them in their second
Round One Summary: The #11 Golden Hawks silenced #22 W.C. Henderson on Tuesday, shutting them out 5-0 and staying perfect on their home field. Julian Antal led the Hawks with three goals while Dan Kockett and Robert Zimmerman each added a single goal.
Neshaminy

- Beat Central League Champions Radnor 2-1 in their final game of the season

Round One Summary: The sixth-seeded Redskins are set to face league rival Council Rock South after battling their way to a 1-0 victory over #27 Unionville in the first round. The contest was scoreless for 73 minutes until Nick Tucci finally cranked in the game-winner.
GIRLS
#9 WC RUSTIN at #8 CENTRAL BUCKS EAST
West Chester Rustin

- First place Ches-Mont American Division
- Late season 3-0 win over #12 W.C. Henderson
- Won six of last eight games in regular season
Round One Summary: WC Rustin scored all of its goals in the second half to defeat #24 William Tennent on Tuesday. Abbey Kramer, Andre Gunderson and Caitlin Oswald each scored in the 3-1 win over the Panthers, who had the lead in the first half. Mary Toner and Maddie Moran registered the assists while Alexa Bushey was a midfield standout for the Golden Knights.
Central Bucks East
- 13-4-1 overall, 10-3-1 SOL
- Second place Continental Conference
- Closed out season with 5-0 win over Upper Dublin
- Beat #9 West Chester Rustin (2-0) as well as Archbishop Wood (2-0) in regular season
Players to watch: Nicole Pannella (Jr., Midfield), Shaun Kane (Jr., Forward), Jess Haug (Sr., Back), Taylor Myzsa (Sr., Back), Abby Emmert (Jr., Forward), Aimee Chimera (Sr., Midfield)
Round One Summary: Mount St. Joseph, the tournament’s 25th seed, didn’t have a chance against the Continental Conference powerhouse and eighth-seeded Patriots, who blanked them 5-0 in round one of districts. Mariah Lichter netted three goals, Danielle DeMichael contributed a pair and Abby Emmert scored a single goal in the blowout victory.
#20 COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH at #4 PENNRIDGE
Council Rock South
- 10-7-1 overall, 9-4-1 SOL
- Third place National Conference
- Defeated Council Rock North in last league game to clinch 3rd place
- Closed out season with 2-1 loss to #21 Central Bucks West
Round One Summary: #20 Council Rock South upset 13th-seeded Hatboro Horsham 2-1 in a hard-fought contest between two evenly match teams. Nicole Caffey scored the first and last goal of the match while her defense prevented the Hatters from creating any scoring opportunities late in the second half.
Pennridge
- 13-2-2 overall, 10-2-2 SOL
- Continental Conference Champions
- Reached state title game last year
- Won seven in a row in the regular season
- Defeated Council Rock South (3-1) on Oct. 1
- Rams had a first round bye

- Fifth place Continental Conference
Round One Summary: The #21 Bucks jumped out to an early lead in their upset of #12 W.C. Henderson 4-1 in the opening round. Shae McCarty was deadly for the Warriors, scoring a true hat trick, while Erin McQuate closed out the scoring.
Conestoga
- 16-2-1 overall, 10-2 league
- Second place Central League
- Beat # Council Rock North 2-0 at their Homecoming game
- Lost to # Strath Haven on 10/23/12

Round One Summary: The 15th-seeded Jaguars dominated #18 WC East despite playing without their starting keeper, who suffered a season-ending concussion a few weeks ago. Taylor Buckley has taken on the role of keeper for the Jags, and she was phenomenal in their district opener, helping her team shut out the Vikings 2-0. Jackie Glanfield and Christin Esposito scored for Garnet Valley in the victory.
Neshaminy
- 17-1 overall, 14-0 SOL
- Undefeated National League Champions
- Only loss is to #6 Downingtown West
- Eleven shutouts in the regular season
- Scored five or more goals in nine games

Round One Summary: The Falcons upped their shutout total to seven after beating #23 Downingtown East on Tuesday in the first round. Pennsbury scored both of its goals in the first half when Courtney Bennett and Uche Onuoha found the net. Lexi Brown was credited with controlling play for the Falcons.
Boyertown

Round One Summary: The Bears increased their shutout streak to a whopping 16 after Robyn Piveateau scored both goals in a 2-0 victory over #26 Quakertown in the district opener. Megan Diehl and Marie Valenti each added an assist.

- 8-2-1 in last 10 games, including a 2-1 over #24 William Tennent in the regular season
Round One Summary: The 19th-seeded Titans upset the 14th-seeded Eagles of Bishop Shanahan on Tuesday. Nikki Weiss scored the only goal for South, knotting the score 1-1 and sending the teams into overtime. Two sessions of OT expire without a goal, setting the stage for penalty kicks, which the Titans won 4-3 to clinch the victory and advance to round two.
Owen J Roberts
