In what became a spirited two-team race between William Tennent and Abington, Tennent used a late surge to edge Abington 2,409 to 2,403 in the first ever Fantastic Fans Tournament of Champions contest on SuburbanOneSports.com’s Facebook page. The lead changed hands countless times in the final hours of the epic battle with Tennent taking the lead for good with 15 minutes remaining.
For finishing on top, Tennent will receive a custom vinyl banner designed and created by contest sponsor Coopersburg Creative.
Congratulations to all six teams that earned a spot in the Tournament of Champions – Abington, Central Bucks South, Neshaminy, Pennridge, Wissahickon and Tennent. Over six thousand votes were cast, and the photo finish was a remarkable and memorable display of school spirit by both Tennent and Abington.
