WILLIAM TENNENT GIRLS’ BASKETBALL PREVIEW

Coaching Staff:

  • Head coach - Paul Veltre (11th season)

Last Season’s Record:

  • 13-10 overall
  • 5-9 in Suburban One National Conference (finished tied for 5th)

Key returners:

  • Allison Chatburn – 5’9” Senior guard
  • Ally Fenner – 5’10” Senior forward
  • Nikki Alden – 5’10” Junior guard/forward
  • Angie Pomponio – 5’4” Sophomore guard

Players to watch:

  • Taryn Wright – 5’8” Junior forward
  • Alyssa Christiansen – 5’4” Sophomore guard
  • Katelyn Plunkett – 5’1” Senior guard

Key losses:

  • Emily O’Donnell

Outlook:

  • The Lady Panthers will need players to step up offensively to compensate for the 15 ppg average of last year’s scoring leader, Emily O’Donnell.  The team is excited to make a name for itself as it looks to improve its league record in the competitive National Conference.
