In game one of Friday’s twinbill, Pennridge earned an 8-1 win over Central Bucks West. The Rams opened up a 4-0 lead at the end of one period and upped that to 6-0 after two periods before the Bucks got on the scoreboard in the third period. Tyler Shagen connected for the hat trick to lead the Rams while Kyle Henofer added two goals and one assist and Matt Brown had a pair of goals. Shane Dotterer added one goal and two assists, and Ben Weaver, Andrew Wunnenberg, Michael Egan, Jake Wexler and Aaron Crosson each added an assist. Tanner Ginn scored West’s lone goal. It was unassisted. Pennridge goalie Dustin Wexler turned away 18 of 19 shots he faced while West’s Justin Angelo was credited with 18 saves.
North Penn spoiled Souderton’s Senior Night celebration by jumping out to a 3-0 lead at the end of one period and rolling to a 7-3 win. The Knights were led by the four-point effort of Matthew Stella, who had two goals and two assists, while Caleb Witzaney added two goals and one assist. Jeremy Snyder also collected three points, contributing one goal and two assists while Nick Capassoo had a goal and an assist and Alex Peterson had a single goal. Dalton Bideau and Derek Heckler each added an assist. For the Indians, Dylan Manto had a pair of goals and Clay Anders added a single goal. Connor Walsh was credited with an assist. North Penn’s Cody Matthews turned away 37 of 40 shots in goal while Souderton’s Bryce McMichael was credited with 24 saves.
