Check out Saturday’s SOL girls basketball results.

Four SOL teams competed in Saturday’s Scholastic Play-by-Play Classic at Philadelphia University. Only one – North Penn – earned a victory. Council Rock South, Cheltenham and Abington all suffered losses.

NORTH PENN 54, ENGINEERING & SCIENCES 25
That Maidens jumped out to a 29-11 lead and never looked back on their way to the decisive win. Senior Lauren Crisler led the Maidens with 17 points while freshman Mikaela Giuliani added nine points. The Maidens are 11-1.

BOYERTOWN 58, ABINGTON 54 (2 OT)
The Ghosts, who led 44-35 with just over two minutes remaining, were poised to win Saturday’s contest. Or at least so it seemed, but the Bears had other ideas, rallying to tie the score on a putback at the buzzer ending regulation. A four-minute overtime could not determine a winner, and a second overtime ensued. By this time, the Ghosts were without sophomore Deja Rawls and junior Michael Harris, who had fouled out, and they didn’t have the firepower to win it.
Rawls led the Ghosts with 13 points while Sammy Lochner and Michael Harris each added 10 points. Abington falls to 9-4 overall.

RANCOCAS VALLEY (NJ) 48, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 19
Cara Barlow earned team MVP honors for the Golden Hawks, pulling down a team high eight rebounds to go along with four points.  The Golden Hawks saw their record drop to 4-6.

ST BASIL 47, CHELTENHAM 22
Freshman Gabrielle Wright, who had 11 points and eight rebounds, was named team MVP for Cheltenham. The Lady Panthers are 4-8 overall.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 37, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 22
The Patriots, who led 6-2 at the end of one quarter, took control of the game with a 16-2 second quarter that featured five points from Courtney Webster and four from Lindsey Nier. Webster led the Patriots with 13 points while Nier added 10. Karoline White scored six points on a pair of three-pointers. The Patriots improved to 9-4 overall.
“Our front line was in immediate foul trouble, and CB East took full advantage,” PW coach Daniel Dougherty said. “In the second half, we were able to turn the tables, getting two CB East starters in foul trouble, but it was too little too late.”
Alynna Williams and Rachel Konowal both scored six points for the Colonials, who fell to 3-8 on the season.

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 57, MASTERY CHARTER NORTH 33
Jessica Gerber tied a team record for most three-point field goals in a single game with six en route to a game and career high 22 points. Hailey Burns and Michaela Finneyfrock both added six points. The Indians, who are 7-6 overall, opened up a 21-6 lead at the end of one quarter. They took a 32-17 lead into halftime and blew the game wide open with a 20-4 third quarter explosion.
