BASEBALL
IUP sophomore shortstop Dylan Tice (Pennridge) has been named the National Collegiate Baseball Writer’s Association (NCBWA) Division II Hitter of the Week it was announced on March 6. Tice earns the national honor after being named hitter of the week in the Atlantic Region by the NCBWA as well as in the PSAC West. Tice hit a blistering .800 to help IUP to a 3-0 weekend in Frederick, Md. His weekend was highlighted by a 5-for-5 outing against Bluefield State, a performance that included a double, two runs scored, four RBIs and two stolen bases. Tice also went 4-for-5 with two runs against West Virginia Tech and 3-for-5 with a double, two RBIs, two runs scored and a stolen base against Davis & Elkins. He finished 12-for-15 with six RBIs, six runs, two doubles and three stolen bases. For the season, Tice is leading the Crimson Hawks with a .656 batting average, 21 hits, five doubles, 12 RBIs and a .686 on-base percentage.
Rhode Island senior Mike Bradstreet (North Penn) has been named College Baseball Insider’s Louisville Slugger Northeast Region Pitcher of the week as announced on collegebaseballinsider.com. CBI’s Northeast Region consists of 74 teams from eight different conferences (America East, Atlantic 10, Big East, Colonial, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Northeast and Patriot). Bradstreet earned the honor – his third of the week – after tossing a complete game, two-hit shutout against Ohio in URI’s 3-0 win. Bradstreet also was named the Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week and College Sports Madness Player of the Week. He struck out a career-high 10 batters and did not issue a walk as he faced just two batters over the minimum. The North Penn grad took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and held Ohio to a .071 batting average while allowing just two hits on the afternoon. He also turned in a perfect fielding percentage as he recorded three assists for the Rams.
Mike McLeod (Harry S Truman) allowed one run in 1.2 innings of relief in La Salle’s 12-11 loss in 10 innings to New Mexico State on Sunday in Las Cruces, N.M.
Dan Hinchcliff (North Penn) contributed a triple and scored two runs in Catholic University’s 11-5 win over Wilkes on Friday in Myrtle Beach, S.C. In Thursday’s 4-0 win over Ursinus, Hinchcliff was 3-for-3 with three runs scored. In Monday’s 8-3 loss to unbeaten Manchester, Hinchcliff was 2-for-3 with one RBI and a run scored.
Tyler Orr (Neshaminy) was 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored in Eastern University’s come-from-behind 8-7 win over York College on Thursday in Myrtle Beach, S.C. In Wednesday’s 11-7 win over Penn State-Berks, Orr was 2-for-4 with an RBI and run scored.
Senior Matt Hone (Council Rock North) drove in a run in Widener’s 4-2 loss to Kenyon on Monday.
Nick Donofry (Council Rock North) allowed one run in 1.2 innings of relief in Bloomsburg’s 6-0 loss to Belmont Abbey on Saturday. In the Huskies 11-10 loss to Belmont Abbey in the second game of the twinbill, Jared Schaffer (Pennridge) did not allow a hit in 1.1 innings of scoreless relief.
James Smith (North Penn) had a pair of hits in St. Peter’s University’s 12-3 win over the University of Maryland Eastern Shore last Sunday.
Pete O’Hara (Council Rock North) went 3-for-5 with a run scored and stolen base while teammate Brandon Bell (Norristown) was 2-for-4 with one RBI in Delaware Valley’s 5-4 loss to Albright on Saturday in Fort Pierce, Fla. In Friday’s 6-5 loss to Marywood, O’Hara went 4-for-5 with a double and two RBIs.
Brian Camp (Cheltenham) and Robert Morak (Abington) combined to pitch an inning of relief in Penn State Abington’s 8-5 loss to St. John Fisher on Friday in Winter Haven, Fla. The duo allowed just one hit and one unearned run.
Freshman Brian Donnelly (Council Rock South) made his first collegiate start on Sunday and collected three of Rider's 11 hits in a 1-0 loss to the University of South Carolina. Donnelly also stole a base and had four putouts in the field. In four games, Donnelly has four hits in six at bats.
Drew Frankenfield (Wissahickon) collected a hit and drove in a run with a bases-loaded walk in York College’s 11-8 loss to Scranton on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 12-3 win over North Carolina Wesleyan, Frankenfield contributed a hit and two runs scored, and teammate Zach Philippi (Harry S Truman) threw three innings of hitless relief, walking two, striking out five and allowing only an unearned run. In York’s 10-2 win over Mt. Aloyskius on Wednesday, Frankenfield with 3-for-4 with an RBI double and three RBIs. In Tuesday’s 12-4 loss to Catholic University, Frankenfield was 2-for-2 with a run scored.
Tim Filer (Council Rock North) was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored in Lebanon Valley’s 7-2 win over Geneva on Thursday in the team’s spring break finale in Florida. In Lebanon Valley’s 11-0 loss to Penn State Behrend on Thursday, Filer collected one of his team’s four hits. In Wednesday’s 5-3 loss to Susquehanna, Filer had a hit and scored a run. In Lebanon Valley’s 3-1 win over Westminster on Wednesday, Filer was 3-for-3 with one RBI and a run scored.
Junior lefty Matt Hollenbeck (Hatboro-Horsham) absorbed the loss on the mound in Georgetown’s 5-2 loss to Michigan last Sunday.

Daniel Seitzinger (Central Bucks West) and Matt Hanson (Central Bucks West) both had one hit in Moravian’s 5-1 win over Muskingum University on Friday at the Snowbird Classic in Punta Gorda, Fla. Seitzinger scored a pair of runs while Hanson scored one run. In Moravian’s 6-4 win over Muskingum in the second game of the twinbill, Hanson had a triple, RBI, run scored and stolen base. In Thursday’s 4-2 win over Bluffton, Hanson had a pair of hits while Seitzinger scored a run. In Tuesday’s 15-8 upset of #8 Adrian College, Seitzinger was 3-for-6 with two RBIs and two runs scored while Hanson was 3-for-5 with two RBIs, one run scored and a double. In Tuesday’s 18-8 loss to John Carroll, Hanson went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, two runs scored and a triple. Seitzinger added an RBI single. In Moravian’s 8-5 win over John Carroll in 11 innings on Monday, Seitzinger had two hits, which included a double, one RBI and three runs scored. Hanson had an RBI single.
John Burns (Neshaminy) contributed an RBI single in Gwynedd-Mercy’s 4-3 loss to No. 7 Kean on Wednesday.
Freshman pitcher Casey O’Donnell (Hatboro-Horsham) fanned six over 6.2 innings and scattered six hits while allowing three runs to earn his second win of the season in Philadelphia University’s 5-3 win over Millersville on Saturday. He found his stride in the third inning as he retired 18 of the next 20 batters who came to the plate. In Sunday’s 20-2 loss to Millersville, Ken McCormick (Pennsbury) contributed a double.
Senior AJ Wright (Council Rock South) struck out six while allowing two earned runs in seven innings but absorbed the loss in Ursinus College’s 11-4 loss to Mt. Aloysius on Thursday during the Bears trip to the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
Senior guard Khalif Wyatt (Norristown) scored a game-high 30 points on his Senior Day to help lead Temple’s charge back from a 16-point deficit to earn an 84-76 win over No. 21/19 Virginia Commonwealth in a nationally-televised game on Sunday. It was Wyatt’s fifth 30-point game of the season. He also became the 12th Temple player to score over 600 points in a season and now ranks 14th all-time with 616 points in 2012-13. In Wednesday’s 74-55 win at Fordham, Wyatt recorded his first double-double, posting game highs of 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Wyatt was named Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week for the week ending March 3. It was the fourth time the Norristown grad earned that honor this season. Wyatt, the Atlantic 10 Conference’s leading scorer (19.6 PPG), averaged 22 points and five assists per game in a 2-0 week for the Owls and came up clutch down the stretch in both wins. Against Detroit, he had a game-high seven assists and scored all 20 of his points in the second half, including 12 in the final two minutes as the Owls won 83-78. Then, with the game knotted at 64 against Rhode Island, Wyatt scored seven of the Owls’ final 12 points en route to a 76-70 triumph. He finished with a team-high 24 points. For the year, Wyatt has been Temple’s leading scorer 17 times, including 12 of the last 15 games. He has averaged 23.3 points over the last 15 games, and he recently moved into 23rd place on the Owls all-time scoring list with 1,446 points.
East Stroudsburg sophomore guard Whis Grant (Plymouth Whitemarsh) was named PSAC East Athlete of the Year. He is the first ESU player to receive that honor since 1991. Grant is ESU’s top scorer with 17.4 points per game. He averaged 19.1 points during a school record-tying 14-game winning streak from Dec. 19 to Feb. 13. He leads the PSAC in three-point percentage (40.8), ranks fourth in three-pointers per game (2.5), eighth in steals (1.8) and seventh in scoring. He is just the fourth sophomore to be named Athlete of the Year in either division since the first awards were given in 1988. He also is just the third player to be named Athlete of the Year without earning a previous All-PSAC honor. He is the third ESU underclassman to be named All-PSAC East. His 865 career points are the second most by a sophomore in school history. Grant was the top scorer as a freshman on last year’s PSAC championship team, averaging 13.9 points per game but was not one of the three Warriors named to the All-PSAC East team. He came back this year to post nine 20-point games, including six in a nine-game stretch in which he averaged 22.9 points per game. He was the first ESU player in 11 years with three straight 25-point games.
Grant scored 19 of his 21 points in the first half and spearheaded a game-changing 22-0 run to lead defending PSAC champion East Stroudsburg to its fourth straight PSAC Final Four with a 102-74 win over Mansfield on Tuesday night. In Friday’s 68-59 loss to Slipper Rock in a PSAC semifinal game, Grant scored all 13 of his points in the second half.
Marcus Badger (Plymouth Whitemarsh) contributed 11 points, seven rebounds and a game-high seven assists in Randolph-Macon’s 79-68 win over Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday. Randolph-Macon advances to the Sweet Sixteen and will play Amherst College (26-2) on March 16.
Senior guard Jim Connolly (Souderton) scored a game-high 19 points and added five steals in Philadelphia University’s 68-64 loss to Bloomfield in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament title game on Saturday night. Junior guard Nick Christian (Bensalem) contributed 10 points. In Friday’s 71-68 CACC semifinal win over No. 20 Dominican (N.Y.), Connolly had 12 points.
Villanova freshman Ryan Arcidiacono (Neshaminy) was a unanimous choice to be named a member of the BIG EAST’s All-Rookie team. In Villanova’s 67-57 upset of Georgetown on Wednesday, Arcidiacono contributed 11 points, six assists and two rebounds.
Junior Fran Rafferty (Upper Merion) scored 19 points, which included 3-of-5 from three-point range, in Cabrini’s 84-81 win at No. 21 Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday. He also had seven rebounds. The win propelled Cabrini into the NCAA Sweet 16 for the third consecutive year.
CJ Aiken (Plymouth Whitemarsh) scored 15 points to lead four players in double figures in St. Joseph University’s 81-44 win over Rhode Island on Wednesday. With the win, the Hawks clinched a spot in next week’s Atlantic 10 Championship. In Saturday’s 52-40 loss to Charlotte, Aiken had eight points and two blocked shots.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Freshman Alex Wheatley (Council Rock South) contributed seven points and two steals in Princeton’s 77-44 win over Yale on Friday. In Saturday’s 80-51 win over Brown, Wheatley had seven points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal.
Senior guard Ashley Rosario (Harry S Truman) scored seven points in Goldey-Beacom’s 70-69 double overtime loss to Caldwell in a CACC semifinal game on Friday.
Shippensburg freshman Stephanie Knauer (North Penn) was named the 2013 PSAC Eastern Division Freshman of the Year. She is Shippensburg’s first PSAC Freshman Rookie of the Year award winner since 2007. Knauer earned seven PSAC Eastern Division Freshman of the Week awards during the regular season and tallied 12 double-doubles (18th in Division II entering the playoffs). Through the PSAC quarterfinals, Knauer ranked 11th in the PSAC in scoring (12.9 PPG), fourth in rebounding (9.1 RBG) and was 118-of-160 (73.8 percent) at the free throw line. Knauer also produced double-digit scoring efforts in 19 games.
Knauer contributed nine points and nine rebounds in Shippensburg’s 62-42 loss to Millersville in a PSAC quarterfinal matchup on Tuesday night.
Junior forward Danielle Derr (Upper Dublin) came off the bench to contribute four points, two rebounds and one steal in Bloomsburg’s 74-57 win over Gannon in the PSAC Championship game on Saturday. As a result of the win, the Huskies received an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. In Friday’s 76-73 PSAC semifinal win over Edinboro, Derr contributed nine points, which included a 5-for-5 effort at the foul line, and four rebounds. In Tuesday’s 81-52 win over Kutztown in a PSAC quarterfinal, Derr came off the bench to score 12 points.
Millersville point guard Mashira Newman (Upper Dublin) was named to the All-PSAC East First Team for the second year in a row. The Upper Dublin grad is ranked first on the team in assists (4.8), steals (2.7), and minutes per game (34.1). She is second on the team in points (12.4) and blocks (1.1) per game, and she is third in rebounding with 6.2 boards per contest. The 2.7 steals topped the PSAC, and her 4.8 assists is ranked third in the conference. Newman is fourth all-time in points scored (1,428), second in assists (501), third in steals (394), tied for 10th in blocks (105) and 13th in rebounds (604). In addition, Newman set the school record for steals in a game earlier this season at East Stroudsburg when she had 11 steals.
Newman scored eight points and pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds in Millersville 62-42 win over Shippensburg in Tuesday’s PSAC quarterfinal matchup. In Friday’s 63-62 PSAC semifinal loss to No. 7 Gannon, Newman was blanked in the scoring column for the first time in 106 games. She did hand out six assists and also had five steals and four rebounds.

Goalkeeper Lauren Mateja (Upper Merion) stopped 12 shots in Millersville’s 9-8 overtime win over Fort Lewis on Saturday. In Millersville’s 18-5 win over Wilmington on Tuesday, sophomore Hannah Vogel (Hatboro-Horsham) scored four goals, and Mateja was credited with 10 saves in goal.

Lauren McDermott (North Penn) scored the tying goal with 5:18 remaining in regulation and then scored a goal for the game winner 53 seconds later in La Salle’s 14-13 come-from-behind win at San Diego State on Friday night. McDermott finished the game with three goals. In Tuesday’s 14-8 win over Fresno State on the campus of San Diego State, McDermott was one of three players to connect for the hat trick.
FIELD HOCKEY
Gwynedd-Mercy’s Erin Gorenflo (Plymouth Whitemarsh) and Maria Karidas (Council Rock South) were named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFCA) Division II National Academic Team. The award recognized student-athletes who achieved a 3.3 GPA or higher. It was Gorenflo’s fourth straight academic honor while Karidas received her third. Gwynedd-Mercy’s team was honored as a Division II National Academic Team, an honor given to squads that earn a 3.0 GPA or higher.
WOMEN’S SOCCER
Wilkes University sophomore Alicia Roberts (Upper Moreland) received the team’s Laurie Labbe Offensive Player of the Year award at the team’s annual postseason banquet on Feb. 24. A first team All-Freedom selection, Roberts had nine goals and three assists for a total of 21 points.
SOFTBALL
Robert Morris freshman Haileigh Stocks (Central Bucks South) had her impressive opening weekend of collegiate play recognized by the Northeast Conference as she was selected the league’s Rookie of the Week for the week ending Feb. 25. Stocks played a large role in helping Robert Morris to two victories as the Colonials competed in the rain-shortened 49ers Invitational in Charlotte, S.C. Stocks hit a grand slam in her first official collegiate at-bat after entering the game as a substitute. Her blast turned a 4-1 deficit into a 5-4 RMU lead, eventually helping the Colonials to a 9-7 win over Western Carolina. It was the first grand slam by a Colonial since the 2011 regular season finale, a span of 66 games. Stocks also walked to start a two-out rally and scored a run in the victory over the Catamounts. Stocks’ performance in the opener helped her earn her first career start in the nightcap. She registered her first career double against Charlotte and also came through in extra innings for the Colonials. With the game tied 2-2 in the eighth inning, Stocks executed a sacrifice bunt to move a runner to third with one out. The next batter brought home the game-winning run with a ground ball on the infield. Stocks had a .500 batting average, a .600 on-base percentage and a 1.500 slugging percentage for the weekend.
Lehigh freshman Morgan Decker (Central Bucks South) was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the week ending March 4. The CB South grad, who has started all five of Lehigh’s games at third base, hit safely in four of her first five college games. She tied for the team lead with four RBIs and had both RBIs in the team’s win over Columbia on Saturday. Decker also scored four runs and posted a .579 on-base percentage in five games after drawing six walks and being hit by a pitch in addition to her four hits.
D’Anna Devine (Pennsbury) was 1-for-2 with two runs scored in the University of South Florida’s 5-3 win over South Carolina on Friday. The Pennsbury alum, who bats out of the leadoff spot, was 2-for-2 with two runs scored in USF’s 12-1 win over Massachusetts on Friday.
Emilia Cantrell (Central Bucks East) collected a double in Philadelphia University’s 12-1 loss to Chestnut Hill in game one of a twinbill on Thursday. In Philadelphia University’s 1-0 loss in the second game, freshman Mollie Burrell (Souderton) was 1-for-2. In Philadelphia University’s 9-8 win over West Chester on Tuesday, Cantrell contributed a hit. In the Rams 15-3 loss to West Chester in game two of the twinbill, Burrell hit her first career home run, a solo shot to left field in the fourth inning.
Shippensburg sophomore Liz Parkins (Souderton) was named the PSAC Eastern Division Pitcher of the Week on March 4. It is the first weekly award distributed this season and includes all games played thus far in 2013. It is the second weekly honor of her career as she was named the PSAC East Co-Pitcher of the Week on April 9 last season. Parkins helped the Raiders get off to a 6-2 debut with stellar performances in her two starts this season. She earned complete-game victories over Davis & Elkins and Pace, posting a team-best 0.75 earned run average while giving up seven total hits, allowing just one run and striking out 16. Parkins is limiting batters to a .167 hitting percentage. In the five-inning mercy rule win over Davis & Elkins, Parkins struck out eight while giving up three hits. She again struck out eight in a shutout win over Pace and allowed four hits in that game. When not in the circle, Parkins has earned time at third base where she’s started three times this season. She’s batting .364 with four hits, two runs and two RBIs.
Allison Herbert (Hatboro-Horsham) picked up the win on the mound in King’s College’s 8-0 win in five innings over Penn State Hazleton on Monday at the Snowbird Tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Herbert allowed just two hits while striking out two in five innings of work.
Gabbie Berry (Norristown) collected four hits – two in each game – in Millersville’s sweep of Bowie State on Monday. The Marauders won the first game 9-0 and the second 11-3. In the 11-3 win, Stephanie Kulp (North Penn) smoked a two-run home run to right center for the first homer of her career.
Deanna Dungee (North Penn) threw a seven-inning shutout in Alvernia’s 4-0 win over Westminster on the final day at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Fla., on Thursday. Dungee scattered five hits through seven innings, striking out four and walking just one to record her first shutout of the season. In Wednesday’s 12-9 win over Illinois, Dungee earned the win on the mound to improve to 3-0 on the season. In Tuesday,s 3-2 win over Bluffton College, Dungee threw seven innings and allowed just six hits and one earned run. She also knocked in the game-winning run in the top of the sixth. In Monday’s 19-2 win over Presentation College, Dungee earned the win, throwing three complete innings and giving up just two hits and no runs.
Senior Deanna Myers (William Tennent) was 1-for-3 with an RBI in Holy Family’s 5-4 win over Adelphi on Friday at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Fla. In Thursday’s 4-0 win over Northern State, junior Rachael Alligood (Harry S Truman) tossed a complete game shutout, allowing just one hit through seven innings while striking out five and walking one. In Monday’s 6-4 loss to Saginaw Valley State University, Myers drove in a pair of runs after hitting her first home run of the season. Teammate Kelsi Bunda (Pennsbury) added an RBI single.
Erin Quense (Neshaminy) hit a two-run home run during a three-run fourth that propelled West Chester to a 3-2 win over Southern Connecticut State University in the second of two games at the NTC Spring Games in Clermont, Fla., on Sunday. Quense’s first career home run was a two-run shot in the fourth that put West Chester on top 2-1. Quense finished the game 3-for-3 while Lauren Altenburger (Neshaminy) went 2-for-3. Devon Utterback (Central Bucks South), who improved to 4-1 on the young season,threw a complete game to earn the win, allowing two runs (one earned) on eight hits. She walked two and struck out four. Her consecutive scoreless innings streak was snapped at 15. In West Chester’s 11-7 win over Mercy earlier in the day, Utterback came on in relief in the fifth to get West Chester out of the inning. She finished up the rest of the way to pick up her first save of the season. Megan Kelly (Hatboro-Horsham) was 3-for-4 with five RBIs, including a bases-loaded triple in the fifth that was the big blow in a six-run rally. Ali Vavala (Central Bucks East) also was 3-for-4. In Saturday’s 7-3 win over West Liberty, Altenburger had a run-scoring double in the fourth, and Vavala added an RBI single in the three-run rally. In West Chester’s 8-0 win over Alderson-Broaddus in six innings later in the day Saturday, Utterback tossed a two-hit shutout. Vavala scored a pair of runs in the win. In Friday’s 2-1 win over Bloomfield, Utterback allowed six hits and one unearned run, striking out five and walking none to earn the win. Schuck finished the game 2-for-2 with one RBI. In Thursday’s 4-1 loss to Grand Valley State, Schuck delivered the game’s only RBI. Kelly had West Chester’s only other hit. Utterback threw 2.2 scoreless innings in relief. In a 6-3 loss to the University of the Sciences in the nightcap, Schuck and Altenburger were each 2-for-4 while Quense was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Utterback suffered the loss in relief.

La Salle senior Daniel Fitzgerald (Upper Dublin) was named to the Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Academic All-Conference team. Student-athletes are selected based on their performance during the season, at the Atlantic 10 Championships, and in the classroom. In order to make the team, nominees must retain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater. Fitzgerald, a nursing major, had to contend with the grueling classroom schedule of early morning clinicals and demanding course material in addition to the 20-hour-a-week swimming regiment. Fitzgerald finished his final collegiate season by picking up three personal best times and three top seven finishes at the Atlantic 10 Championships, including a silver medal in the 100 backstroke. In addition, he broke the school and Atlantic 10 Conference record in the 100 back (48.25) and the school record in the 100 freestyle (44.87).

West Chester’s Kelsey Tennett (Hatboro-Horsham) qualified for the 2013 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships during Tuesday’s diving qualifier in Birmingham, Ala. Tennent placed 19th with 22 divers qualifying for the championships during the first day of the NCAA Division II championships.

St. Joseph University senior Dave Manion (Central Bucks South) and sophomore Matthew McGarvey (Central Bucks West were part of the distance medley relay team that finished eighth with a time of 10:01.74 at the 2012-13 IC4A DI Indoor Track and Field Championships at Boston University last weekend. Junior Jonathan Eisemann (Central Bucks South) tied for 12th place out of 25 participants in the 60m preliminaries with a semifinals qualifying time of 6.96. In the semis, Eisemann clock in with a personal record 6.92 to just miss qualifying for the finals by .07 seconds. The junior finished 13th overall. .

Gwynedd-Mercy College freshman Zakiyyah Richardson (Pennsbury) finished 10th in the 60 meter dash during the day one preliminary round of competition at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships on Friday. The Pennsbury grad posted a time of 7.733 seconds, just eight thousandths of a second from advancing to Saturday afternoon’s final. She is the first female athlete in program history to compete at a national championship. Richardson finished an impressive indoor rookie campaign, establishing new school records in the 60 meter dash, 200 meter dash and 400 meter dash. She also was named the Mason Dixon Conference Track Athlete of the meet. She was an ECAC qualifier in the 60 meter dash, 200 meter dash and was a member of the ECAC qualifying 4x200 meter relay. Richardson went into the NCAA Championship ranked in a two-way tie for second in the 60 meter dash with a season best time of 7.66 seconds. Richardson finished second at the ECAC Championships and achieved her season-best in winning the Mason Dixon Conference title on Feb. 16.

Junior Austin Jacoby (Pennridge) totaled a season-high 21 kills while posting a .462 hitting percentage and added 10 digs in No. 11 Stevenson’s 3-1 loss to Thiel Saturday in the CVC Challenge Weekend at Eastern Mennonite University. In Friday’s 3-2 win over No. 3 Juniata in the CVC opener, Jacoby had 21 kills and 10 digs.
Ethan Mawhinney (Neshaminy) had a team-high 15 kills and a game-high four service aces and nine blocks in Cairn University’s 3-2 loss to Ramapo College on Tuesday night. Noah Prickett (Pennsbury) had 12 kills.

Bloomsburg’s Matt Rappo (Council Rock South) finished fourth at 141 pounds at the 38th annual Eastern Wrestling League championships on Saturday.
