COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL PREVIEW

Last year’s record:  3-13 overall: 1-11 in SOL National

Key returners: Christian Zastavny, Jr. outside

Others to watch:  Sam Stein 12th middle or outside, Jacob Sweed middle, Cort Raevsky setter.

Strengths:  Christian Zastavny 

Question marks: We need to work on all aspects of the game. The question is how hard are we willing to work?

Outlook:  “We hope to improve upon last year’s record, but we are a long, long way from competing with the top half of our league. Christian Zastavny is a talented player who has a good deal of experience, but the rest of the team is rough. There is some athletic ability and a desire to succeed. The question is whether we are willing to put in the hard work, remain disciplined and make the sacrifices it takes to be a successful. It’s early and there are some positive signs, so I feel good about this team.”
