CENTRAL BUCKS WEST SOFTBALL PREVIEW

Last year’s record:  2-12 SOL, 5-14 overall

Notable losses:  Cassie Zanolini (1^st team all-league outfield), Jenn Toland (honorable mentionall-league shortstop)

Key returners:  Gina Schnecker (Sr) 2B, Jess D’Agostino (Jr) 3B, Amanda Wolfgang (Jr) OF

Others to watch:  Becca Cassel (Fr.) C, Ashley Juliano (So.) P, Carlee Fairchild (So.) P

Strengths- leadership from our (key returners). 

Question marks:  Overall youth (one returning senior), both starting pitchers are sophomores (one new to program and no upperclassmen pitchers in the program) and freshman catcher (also no upperclassmen). 

Outlook:  “We are very excited for this new chapter in CB West softball.  We know that we have youth and inexperience at many key positions, but we also think we are very talented at those positions.  I also feel that our core returners will lead this program in the right direction.  We are less concerned with our overall record (see youth and inexperience) and more concerned with playing the right way, limiting walks and errors and playing within ourselves.”
