CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 10, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 9 (OT)
The Patriots needed a goal by Matt Heim with a minute remaining in overtime to defeat the Bucks, who staged a heroic late-game comeback to knot the score. Seniors Sam Piccone and Riley Kratzke and junior Jimmy Seykot each scored a goal in the final minute of regulation to erase a three-goal deficit and send the game into overtime.
Early on, it looked as though the Patriots were in command as they opened up a 6-2 halftime lead and still led 7-3 heading into a final quarter that saw the Bucks go on a 6-2 tear.
Heim finished the game with three goals and an assist while teammate Matt Milici had two goals and three assists. Matt Schmidt added a pair of goals, and both Zach Kane and Geoff Kuhn had one goal and one assist. Dustin Buchanan had a goal and Anthony Casselli added an assist to close out the scoring for the Patriots.
Kratzke led the Bucks with the hat trick while Piccone and Jimmy Steigerwald each had a pair of goals. Seykot and Corey Schott added single goals. Seykot also had an assist.
Cole Rushworth won 17 of 23 face offs for the Patriots. Sean McGovern faced 20 shots and was credited with 14 saves while Bryan Szymanski had one save. Peter Donavan led East’s defense with five ground balls.
For the Bucks, Matt Harvan was credited with 12 saves.
The Patriots held a 34-32 advantage in shots.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 15, NORTH PENN 4
The Titans defeated the Knights in a game played at CB South on Monday. Relentless defense by the Titans (5-2 SOL, 8-3 overall) limited North Penn to 10 shots on goal for the entire game. Led by long poles Tim McCrudden, Conner Bechtel, Kevin Witchey, Ryan Sullivan and LSM Tim Ross, the Titan defense forced numerous turnovers, intercepted multiple passes and helped keep the ball in the CB South offensive zone for most of the game. While dominating time of possession, the Titans outshot the Knights 44-22 for the game.
Offensively, CB South was led by Willie Pendleton with five goals, Ty Strayline with three goals and Jake Henze with two goals and an assist. McCrudden, Anthony Paone, AJ Caputo, Ty McGee and Bryce Connelly each had a goal while Joel Zimmerman added an assist. Goalies Ryan Kelly and Mike DeVito combined for six saves.

NORRISTOWN 15, HARRY S TRUMAN 2
Sean Calhoun and Mike Smith both had eight-point games for the Eagles with Calhoun contributing six goals and two assists and Smith adding one goal and seven assists. Tyeler Kingkiner also had a big game with five goals and one assist. Justin Byrd (two goals, one assist) and Jimmy Perkins (one goal) also contributed for the Eagles, who led 2-1 at the end of one quarter but stretched that lead to 7-2 by halftime. They led 12-2 at the end of three quarters on their way to the big win.

ABINGTON 17, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 6
The Golden Hawks led 1-0 at the end of one quarter, but that lead disappeared quickly in a second quarter that saw the Ghosts go on a 7-2 tear to go into halftime with a 7-3 lead. The Ghosts added to that lead by outscoring the Hawks 10-3 in the second half.
Joey Lomady (four goals, five ground balls), Gus Greenberg (two goals, four assists, three ground balls), Cameron Leech (two goals, five assists), Matt Gormley (three goals, four ground balls), Austin Pifani (one goal, 10 ground balls), Brian Gallagher (two goals, one assist) Will Dulin (one goal, one assist) and Hunter Jones (two goals, two assists) all made important contributions for the Ghosts.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 11, SOUDERTON 9
The Patriots had a little score to settle with the Indians after dropping their first meeting between the two teams by one goal. They opened up a five-goal lead in the first half and then fought off a tenacious Indian comeback attempt to earn the big win.
“It feels great,” East senior Mary Kate Schwartz said. “We look at every game, and coach says we have to go out the entire game, and I think we have that over other teams.
“We do have six seniors, so we know it’s our last year.”
“Our underclassmen want to do it for us,” senior Marissa Glatt added. “And everybody is in it for the team.”
Schwartz led the Patriots with five goals while Glatt added the hat trick. Julia Norek had two goals, and Maggie Stella had a goal and assist.
The Indians were led by the five-goal effort of Natalie Bulgier. Chessie Rehmer added three goals, and Brittany Roynan had one goal. Amber Lambeth and Rachel Judge each chipped in an assist.
The game started out on a promising enough note for the Indians, who led 1-0 after Rehmer (Lambeth assist) scored less than two minutes into the game. A come-around goal by Norek knotted the score. The Indians led 2-1 after a Bulgier goal and still led 3-2 after another Bulgier goal, but the Patriots answered with a 6-0 run, opening up an 8-3 lead after Glatt connected on a free position with 1:01 remaining in the first half. Bulgier scored a pair of goals in a 14-second span to make it an 8-5 game by halftime and came within a heartbeat of making it an 8-6 game, but Alyssa Ziegler’s goal at the whistle was waved off.
“We talk all the time that we need to be able to put a full 50 minutes together,” Souderton coach Kelly Yemm Kelly said. “You can’t have those down times. You have to respond when the other team starts stepping up their game.
“We kind of stepped down our level of play and played a slower game than we’re used to playing. That’s why they took a five-goal lead.”
Schwartz and Bulgier exchanged goals to open the second half, and the Indians suffered a major setback when Bulgier was whistled for her second yellow card with 19:05 remaining. She was lost for the remainder of the game.
Rehmer scored a shorthanded goal to make it a 9-7 game, but Schwartz turned a Julia Adams caused turnover into a goal to put the Patriots on top 10-7. Back-to-back goals by Roynan and Rehmer trimmed East’s lead to 10-9 with 8:50 remaining.
East slowed things down on the offensive end after winning the ensuing draw, and Glatt gave her team an 11-9 lead when she scored with 5:21 remaining. Neither team scored the rest of the way.
“I didn’t like the way we won, but a win is a win,” coach Dipi Bhaya said. “Scoring double-digit goals against Souderton is a very nice thing to say we did, especially since we lost to them before.”
The Indians, who have just two seniors on their roster, are 5-3 in the league (6-4 overall).
“You could see today we have some inexperience,” Kelly said. “Those anxious passes. Those excited – I see someone, but threading the needle isn’t the right pass at that time. That’s a young thing. We’ll mature in the next couple of games.”
The Patriots improved to 4-4 in the league (8-4 overall).
NORTH PENN 13, PENNRIDGE 5
Lauren Green had a big game for the Maidens, contributing five goals and one assist. Hannah Young and Ashley Durham both added two goals while Brittany Tyson had one goal and one assist. Sydney Lear, Emily Schulze and Jen DeLongis all had one goal, and Michelle Lassen had an assist. Jenna Stover was credited with five saves in goal for the Maidens, who improved to 5-2 in the league (7-2 overall). The Rams are 0-8 in the league (1-9 overall).
NESHAMINY 17, NORRISTOWN 10
The Redskins jumped out to a 10-0 lead on their way to the big non-league win on Monday. Fran Donato and Morgan McCormick both had eight-point games for the Redskins. Donato had seven goals and one assist while McCormick had six goals and two assists. Erin Bedesem had three goals and one assist. Grace Zuno added a goal, and Maddie Seitchik had an assist.
For the Eagles, Natalie Mitchell had four goals and one assist, and Megan Grande contributed the hat trick. Kerri Harner had two goals while Caroline Stilley had one goal and Emma Hagel, one assist.
Jamilynn Justice was credited with 10 saves in goal for the Eagles while Neshaminy’s Meg Shickling had three saves.
The Redskins upped their record to 3-6 while the Eagles fell to 1-10.
ABINGTON 16, CHELTENHAM 5
Meredith Cox had a nine-point game to lead the Ghosts in Monday’s battle of neighboring rivals, contributing six goals and three assists. Allison Rooney added the hat trick, and Jeannine Van Buren, Mikki Raymond and Katerina Thallner each had a pair of goals. Van Buren also had two assists while Raymond had one. Molly Bair added a single goal, for the Ghosts, who led 9-4 at halftime.
Sammie McManus led the Lady Panthers with a pair of goals while Gabby Sczepanek, Annie McGoldrick and Allie Liss each had one goal.
The Ghosts held a 32-19 advantage in shots. Abington goalie Kate Margolis was credited with eight saves.
The Ghosts are 4-4 overall while the Lady Panthers fell to 4-5.
HATBORO-HORSHAM 18, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 5
Casey Swezey had a six-point night to lead the Hatters, contributing four goals and two assists. Katie McKay had a game-high five goals, and Annette Desipio had three goals and one assist. Rachel Rausa had one goal and one assist, and Jenna Cutilli, Carly Daley, Colby Eldridge, Maria Guerra and Sydney Rausa all had one goal. Jane Henry and Liz Purtell both had one assist.
For the Indians, Devon Mela had a pair of goals. Natalie Maher, Tori Lyon and Taylor Campbell each had one goal, and Marina Schreiner had an assist.
In goal, Rock North’s Abby Kopytko was credited with seven saves while her counterpart, Jackie Giovinazzo, had four saves.
The Hatters are 9-1 overall while the Indians fell to 4-6.
BALDWIN SCHOOL 19, UPPER MERION 7
Dominique Gambone scored three goals and had two assists in the loss. Krysta Zadroga, Haley O’Malley, Amanda McAteer and Liz Botto each had one goal for the Vikings, who fell to 6-5 overall.
