BASEBALL
Sophomore second baseman Billy Fleming (Council Rock South) had a three-run double to lead West Virginia to a 4-3 win over Kansas on Saturday afternoon. In Friday’s 1-0 win over Kansas in front of 2,053 fans at Linda K. Epling Stadium, Fleming went 3-for-3 with two doubles.

Senior Eric Ruth (North Penn) pitched a scoreless ninth while striking out one in Winthrop’s 10-2 loss to Wake Forest on Tuesday night. In Winthrop’s 3-1 loss to Liberty last Sunday, Ruth contributed three strikeouts in 1.1 innings of shutout relief.

Nick Donofry (Council Rock North) entered Bloomsburg’s 10-6 win over IUP on Tuesday in the sixth inning and pitched the final 1.2 innings, allowing a run on a hit and a walk to earn the win. He struck out two. Pete Edgar (North Penn) was 2-for-3. In Friday’s 5-3 win over Mansfield, Jared Schaffer (Pennridge) started and lasted 4.2 innings, scattering five hits and allowing two runs. He struck out two and did not walk a batter.

Craig Lepre (North Penn) contributed a hit in Albany's 10-1 win over UMBC on Saturday. In Sunday's 1-0 win over UMBC, Lepre was 1-for-3.

Brandon Martinez (North Penn) had a pair of hits in Kutztown’s 4-3 win over East Stroudsburg on Saturday. In Friday’s 7-5 loss to East Stroudsburg, Ryan Clow (Central Bucks East) threw a scoreless inning in relief. In Wednesday’s 9-4 win over Chestnut Hill, Martinez was 2-for-4 with two runs scored from the leadoff spot.

Ray Puskar (Pennridge) was 2-for-4 with one run scored and one RBI while Joe Crane (Council Rock South) had one hit, one run scored and three RBIs in Chestnut Hill’s 7-0 win over Felician College in Sunday’s doubleheader split. Patrick Campion (Norristown) had a hit and scored a run. In Chestnut Hill’s 2-1 loss in 10 innings in game one, Campion was 2-for-4 while Crane and Joseph Mullin (Central Bucks South) each had a hit. In Wednesday’s 9-4 loss to Kutztown, Puskar had a pair of hits.

Junior Greg Welsh (Council Rock South) threw 5.2 innings in Penn State’s 8-3 loss to Ohio State on Saturday, striking out four while allowing seven hits and four earned runs.

Junior Jake Ruch (Abington) earned the win in East Stroudsburg’s 2-1 win in 10 innings over Philadelphia University on Tuesday, throwing 1.2 innings of scoreless, hitless relief. He struck out two, walked three and allowed two hits.

Dylan Tice (Pennridge) was 2-for-3 with a run scored and one RBI in IUP’s 4-2 win over Lock Haven in game one of a doubleheader sweep Friday. In IUP’s 8-7 win in game two, Tice was 1-for-3 with two runs scored, and teammate Robbie Zinsmeister (North Penn) also had a hit. In Wednesday’s 11-5 loss to Bloomsburg, Zinsmester had a pair of hits. In Tuesday’s doubleheader sweep of Bloomsburg, Tice was 5-for-6 with two home runs and four RBIs while Zinsmeister collected three hits on the day.

Senior Jake Kohler (Upper Dublin), who pitched 10 innings,kept Haverford off the board until the ninth inning of Monday’s 4-1 loss to the Fords in 11 innings. He struck out four and walked one in the no-decision. In Tuesday’s 5-2 loss to Swarthmore, senior AJ Wright (Council Rock South) nearly went the distance as he threw 8.2 innings, striking out one, walking two and allowing four earned runs.

Mike Bradstreet (North Penn), despite allowing just four hits in his complete game start, was charged with the loss in Rhode Island’s 2-0 defeat at the hands of Xavier on Friday.

Sophomore outfielder Ken McCormick (Pennsbury) went 3-for-5 including a two-run home run in Philadelphia University’s 8-3 win over Post on Saturday in game one of a twinbill. He also picked up his 100th career hit. Freshman starting pitcher Casey O’Donnell (Hatboro-Horsham) was the winning pitcher. In Tuesday’s 2-1 loss in 10 innings to East Stroudsburg, junior starter Rob Spragis (Central Bucks South) went 8.2 innings, struck out two batters and scattered 12 hits. In last Sunday’s 17-2 loss to Kutztown, McCormick doubled.

Tyler Orr (Neshaminy) had a two-run home run and three RBIs in Eastern’s 21-4 win over Gwynedd-Mercy on Tuesday.

Dan Hinchcliff (North Penn) was 2-for-3 with a triple and run scored in Catholic University’s 7-4 loss to Scranton on Saturday. In last Sunday’s 14-2 win over Susquehanna, Hinchcliff had a pair of hits.

Catcher David Pine (Council Rock North) reached base on all five plate appearances, going 2-for-2 and walking three times, in No. 28 Millersville’s 13-1 win over Chestnut Hill on Tuesday.

Sophomore outfielder Matt Hanson (Central Bucks West) was 2-for-4 in Moravian’s 2-1 win in 10 innings over Drew on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 9-6 loss to Alvernia, Hanson had a triple and scored a run. In Tuesday’s 5-4 loss to Neumann, Hanson had a triple. In Tuesday’s 9-3 win over Muhlenberg, Hanson singled and scored a run.

Freshman Jesse Kohler (Upper Dublin) recorded his second straight save as he recorded the final seven outs while giving up just one run and three hits in Oberlin College’s 6-4 win over Denison on Saturday afternoon. The win was the 18th of the season – tying a school record.

Ryan Henritzy (Council Rock North) was 1-for-2 with an RBI in Lock Haven’s 4-3 loss to IUP on Saturday. In Tuesday’s 7-3 loss to Shippensburg, Henritzy had a pair of hits. In last Sunday’s 10-2 loss to Pitt-Johnstown, Henritzy went 2-for-4.

Brian Camp (Cheltenham) threw 6.1 scoreless innings in Penn State Abington’s 4-3 loss to Arcadia on Tuesday. Camp allowed just six hits while walking two and striking out one.

Sophomore Matt Hollenbeck (Hatboro-Horsham) threw 3.2 innings of scoreless relief in Georgetown’s 2-1 loss to No. 9 Louisville in the opening game of a three-game series on Friday night. Hollenbeck allowed only one hit while walking three and striking out two.

Drew Frankenfield (Wissahickon) had three hits, including a double, scored one run and drove in three runs in York College’s 6-5 loss to Penn State-Berks on Thursday. In Wednesday’s 5-3 win over Montclair State, Frankenfield was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. In Monday’s 7-6 loss to Rowan, Frankenfield had a two-run double.

Pete O’Hara (Council Rock North) had a pair of hits and teammate Brandon Bell (Norristown) was 1-for-3 with three RBIs in Delaware Valley’s 11-2 loss to Eastern. In Del Val’s 6-5 win in game two of the twinbill, Bell was 2-for-3 with two runs scored. In Friday’s 8-5 win over Eastern, Bell had a two-run single and finished the game with three RBIs. O’Hara had two hits and an RBI.

Bobby Reddick (North Penn) threw a scoreless inning in relief in Northampton’s 7-0 win over Lehigh Carbon Community College on Tuesday.

Jeremy McAlack (Council Rock North) was 3-for-5 with a double and triple in Cairn University’s 13-6 loss to Immaculata on Saturday. In Friday’s 18-6 loss to Immaculata, McAlack was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.

Kristopher Davis (Central Bucks East) earned the win in Elizabethtown’s 7-5 win over Lebanon Valley on Saturday, allowing four runs (two earned) on eight hits.

Ryan Downs (Council Rock South) delivered an RBI to account for his team’s only run in Gwynedd-Mercy’s 12-1 loss to Keystone last Sunday. In Gwynedd’s 4-1 loss to Keystone in game one of the twinbill, freshman David Blount (Harry S Truman) collected a bunt single and scored a run.

MEN’S LACROSSE
Sophomore Anthony Greco (Abington) had two caused turnovers in No. 5 Cabrini’s 26-5 win over Immaculata on Thursday.

Garret Rosiek (Wissahickon) contributed one goal, four assists, five ground balls and three caused turnovers in Aurora University’s 14-3 win over Carthage on Saturday. The win clinched the Midwest Lacrosse Conference championship in the third year of the Spartan program.

Ryan McDonald (Pennsbury) had three goals, one assist and three ground balls in Widener’s 17-7 win over Hood in its regular season finale on Saturday.

Craig Hunsberger (Pennridge) was 12-of-19 on face offs, including 8-of-9 after halftime, in Elizabethtown’s 8-7 loss in overtime to Lebanon Valley on Saturday. As a result of the loss, Elizabethtown was denied one of the final Commonwealth Conference playoff spots. In Tuesday’s 15-9 win over Alvernia, Hunsberger contributed three goals, four caused turnovers and seven ground balls.

Heath Kupecky (Upper Merion) jumpstarted the offense with three goals in Messiah College’s 13-8 win over Albright on Wednesday.

Junior faceoff specialist Shawn Caven (Pennsbury) was 7-for-18 on face offs in Ursinus College’s 11-10 overtime win over Muhlenberg on Saturday. He also had five ground balls. In Wednesday’s 10-8 win over Haverford, the junior face off specialist was the hero of the night as he picked up 13 ground balls while going 14-for-21 on face offs.

David Cutler (Pennsbury) was credited with two saves in the final 7:47 of Chestnut Hill’s 18-8 win over No. 10 Dowling College on Saturday. Dowling College is the defending NCAA Division II national champion.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE
St. Joseph freshman Caroline Hagan (Hatboro-Horsham) was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie team. The top defensive freshman off the bench for the Hawks, Hagan made significant contributions to a defensive unit that was ranked in the nation’s top 10 in scoring defense for the majority of the season. In 14 appearances with three starts, the rookie proved herself with her gritty play. For the season, Hagan totaled 12 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers, ranking her fourth on the team in the latter category.

Senior goalkeeper Lauren Mateja (Upper Merion) nabbed her eighth double-digit save total of the year with 12 stopped shots in Millersville’s 14-12 loss to Bloomsburg on Saturday. Teammate Hannah Vogel (Hatboro-Horsham) scored four goals. In Tuesday’s 17-12 win over Shippensburg, Vogel scored five goals on seven shots. Mateja recorded her second best save total this season with 15 stopped shots. The win by the Marauders was their first over Shippensburg since 2001.

Maggie Canavan (Springfield) had three goals and three ground balls in Bloomsburg’s 14-12 win over Millersville on Saturday. Aubrey Bossert (Wissahickon) had three ground balls, and Natalie Draham (Wissahickon) had one goal and two caused turnovers. Carly Bell (North Penn) had one ground ball and two caused turnovers for the Huskies, who closed out their regular season with a six-game winning streak. In Tuesday’s 16-9 win over East Stroudsburg, Ashley Bossert (Wissahickon) had two goals and one assist. Canavan had one assist, one ground ball, one caused turnover and three draw controls while Draham had one goal and two ground balls, and Ball added two ground balls and one caused turnover.

Senior Samantha Hurley (Council Rock South) scored a goal in No. 6 Lock Haven’s 16-6 win over Mercyhurst in the team’s regular season finale on Saturday. Lock Haven returns to action May 3 when the Lady Eagles host the 2013 PSAC Tournament. Their opponent will be determined based on Tuesday’s PSAC quarterfinal matches. In Tuesday’s 10-9 win over No. 13 IUP, Kelly Hamilton (Central Bucks South) scored a pair of goals.

Lake Erie College senior Julia Kudla (Souderton) has earned Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLAC) Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 23. This is the second time this season that Kudla has earned the honor. For the week, Kudla tallied 32 points on 14 goals and 18 assists while also collecting 14 ground balls and 19 draw controls. Kudla recorded eight points on five goals and three assists while collecting seven ground balls and eight draw controls against Gannon University. In a 24-12 win over Findlay, she scored three goals and assisted on four more for seven points. She also grabbed seven ground balls and two draw controls. In a key 15-9 win over Tiffin, Kudla tallied eight points on three goals and five assists while also controlling five draws. Against Alderson-Broaddus, Kudla scored three goals and assisted on six more for nine points while collecting four ground balls and draw controls.
Kudla tallied six points with two goals and four assists in Lake Erie’s 23-1 win over Wheeling Jesuit on Sunday. In Friday’s 19-4 win over Walsh, Kudla led the Storm with 10 points on eight assists and two goals. In Monday’s 21-2 win over Alderson-Broaddus, Kudla led all players with nine points, coming on three goals and six assists and had four ground balls and four draw controls.

Senior Lauren McDermott (North Penn) scored four goals in La Salle’s 15-10 win over St. Bonaventure last Sunday in the season finale for both squads. Junior defender Kaitlin Colbridge (North Penn) drew the assignment of Bonnies’ leading scorer Jenn Schlaenhauf and limited her to just two assists and no goals.

Junior Amy Cross (Upper Dublin) had a pair of goals in No. 5 Syracuse’s 19-9 win over No. 12/17 Loyola on Friday.

Freshman Brynn Dietzel (Central Bucks South) had three goals while senior Elizabeth Chatburn (Upper Dublin) had four ground balls in Ursinus College’s 16-11 loss to Muhlenberg on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 11-10 win over Haverford, Dietzel had three ground balls.

Sophomore Dani Horn (North Penn) scored a pair of goals in Gwynedd-Mercy’s 14-3 loss to Drew on Tuesday.

Sophomore Tori Kimberly (Central Bucks West) collected seven points on six goals and an assist to go along with five ground balls in Penn State Abington’s 22-15 loss to Medialle College on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 18-10 win over Wilson, Kimberly scored a career-high eight goals.

Holy Family sophomore Caitlin Carrezola (Neshaminy) earned All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Honorable Mention. Carrezola, who is receiving All-CACC honors for the first time in her career, has been a component to the success of the Tigers’ defense this season. She has totaled new career highs with 30 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers on the defensive end. She also has seven draw controls.

Grace Stockbower (Upper Dublin) had one assist in Haverford’s 17-14 win over Swarthmore on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 11-10 come-from-behind win over Ursinus, Stockbower came up with the draw control that set up the game-winning goal.

Senior Roxanne Brown (Pennridge) contributed the hat trick in Shippensburg’s 13-12 loss to East Stroudsburg on Saturday. In Tuesday’s 17-13 loss to Millersville, Brown scored a goal while freshman Ally Frymoyer (Upper Merion) made seven saves and had five ground ball pickups in goal.

Madi Brunk (Cheltenham) scored twice in Messiah College’s 15-4 win over Albright on Tuesday.

Philadelphia University sophomore Liz Mower (Souderton) was named the 2013 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) rookie of the year. Mower – Philadelphia’s first women’s lacrosse CACC rookie of the year – is the team leader in goals (48) assists (20) and points (68). She also had 27 draw controls, 16 ground balls and eight caused turnovers. Mower is second in the CACC in goals, third in points and fourth in assists.
Mower scored four goals and dished out an assist in Philadelphia University’s 12-10 loss to Holy Family in the CACC championship game on Sunday. Mower finished the tournament with 11 goals – including the game winner against Dominican (NY) on Saturday – and two assists. She was named the tournament’s most valuable player. In Saturday’s 13-12 win over Dominican (NY), Mower scored a career-high seven goals, including the game winner with 2:12 left. In last Sunday’s 12-10 win over Georgian Court, Mower scored four of her game-high five goals in the first half to help the Rams take a 9-2 lead.

Bucknell senior attack Madison Hurwitz (Council Rock South) was named to the Patriot League All-Academic Team. Hurwitz was Bucknell's highest scoring attacker this season. She led the team with 22 assists and ranked second with 26 goals and 48 points. Hurwitz ranked third in the Patriot League in assists and eighth in total points. On Bucknell's career charts, she ranks fifth in assists (43) and 10th in points (129). Hurwitz is a Dean's List student in psychology, and next year she will be attending graduate school at Rider University while serving as a graduate assistant lacrosse coach at Princeton and working with a young boy with autism. Last summer, Hurwitz completed an externship job - shadowing three different school psychologists. She has volunteered at local elementary schools and at Sunflower Day Care. She also volunteered at Danville State Hospital, where she designed individualized therapeutic programs for individuals with psychological disorders. A team co-captain this year, Hurwitz is a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the Bucknell Bison Leadership Academy. She is also activie with the Bucknell Dining Committee and Student Voices Committee, which promotes responsible social activities and helps sponsor non-acoholic programming on campus. 

SOFTBALL
Millersville sophomore Danielle DiFilippo (Hatboro-Horsham) was named the PSAC East Player of the Week for the week ending April 21. It is DiFilippo’s first PSAC Player of the Week award of her career. The sophomore second baseman delivered 11 hits in 22 at-bats, scoring four runs and knocking in two more. She did not have a strikeout in 22 plate appearances. Beginning the week’s play, her average for the season was .265, but that ballooned to .306 by week’s end with her .500 average in six games. Four of her six games were multi-hit games, and she managed a hit in every game, giving her an active six-game hitting streak. After collecting three hits in seven at-bats against University of the Sciences with a run scored in each game, she registered four more hits in eight plate appearances, including a 3-for-4 performance in a 1-0 game one win. She notched the game-winning hit in the seventh inning of her team’s 1-0 win over Kutztown. Against Mercyhurst, she had four hits in seven at-bats with two runs scored, a double and an RBI.

Stephanie Kulp (North Penn) doubled in Millersville’s 1-0 win over Shippensburg on Friday. It was one of only three hits in the game for the Marauders and came in the second inning when Millersville scored its only run.

Justyna Pepkowski (Quakertown) earned the save in game one and got the win in game two in Elizabethtown’s sweep of Juniata on Thursday. She earned the save in Elizabethtown’s 3-0 win in game one. In game two, a 6-2 Elizabethtown win, Pepkowski struck out a career high eight batters while scattering six hits and allowing one earned run to earn her fourth win of the season. In Tuesday’s 11-5 win over Arcadia, Pepkowski pitched the final two innings, giving up just one hit and striking out four to preserve the win.

Leadoff batter D’Anna Devine (Pennsbury) drove in her team’s only run in No. 24 University of South Florida’s 4-1 loss to Syracuse on Sunday, a loss that snapped the Bulls’ three-game winning streak. In Tuesday’s 6-3 win over Seton Hall, Devine was 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Chelsea Edwards (Hatboro-Horsham) hit a home run in Lock Haven’s 5-4 loss to Mansfield on Friday. In Tuesday’s 2-1 win over Bloomsburg, Edwards was 2-for-3.

Emilia Cantrell (Central Bucks East) accounted for one of her team’s four hits in Philadelphia University’s 5-0 loss to Bloomfield in game one of a twinbill on Saturday. In Philadelphia’s 4-3 loss in the nightcap, freshman Mollie Burrell (Souderton) contributed an RBI. In Phialdelphia’s 3-2 loss to Holy Family, Cantrell had two of her team’s seven hits.

Freshman Maggie Shaffer (Hatboro-Horsham) earned the win in Guilford’s 4-1 win over Bridgewater (Va.) last Sunday, allowing four hits and one run while walking four and striking out six.

Devon Utterback (Central Bucks South) went the distance to earn the win in West Chester’s 7-1 win over Millersville on Saturday. The senior mound ace scattered seven hits over seven innings while striking out two. She has now struck out a career-best 134 batters this spring. She is one strikeout away from tying the school record of 135 strikeouts in 2006. Utterback’s 18th win of the season also is tied for the second most victories in a single season by a West Chester pitcher. With two more wins inside the circle, Utterback would become just the second hurler in school history to call herself a 20-game winner. Jess Schuck (Council Rock South) was 2-for-5 while Megan Kelly (Hatboro-Horsham) contributed an RBI single. In Tuesday’s 8-1 win over East Stroudsburg in the nightcap of a twinbill, Schuck hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning and finished with five RBIs. She also doubled in a pair of runs in the sixth. Utterback picked up her 17th win of the season. Ali Vavala (Central Bucks East) finished 2-for-2, extending her hit streak to seven games.

Gwynedd-Mercy junior Stephanie Farrar (North Penn) earned honorable mention distinction from the Colonial States Athletic Conference for the week ending April 21. Farrar was instrumental in a 6-2 CSAC week, collecting three hits with three runs in a sweep of Keystone. Her RBI double in the eighth inning of game two tied the game 3-3, and later she would score the winning run. Against Baptist Bible, Farrar was 3-for-4 with four runs and four RBIs, three walks and two stolen bases. She ended the week by knocking in both runs – one on a double, the other on a solo home run – in a 2-0 win in game one at Marywood.

Freshman Haileigh Stocks (Central Bucks South) was 3-for-7 in Robert Morris University’s doubleheader split with Central Connecticut State on Saturday. She tallied her fourth multi-hit game of the season in the nightcap. In last Sunday’s 6-1 win over Wagner in game one of a doubleheader sweep, Stocks was 1-for-3 with two runs scored. In RMU’s 1-0 win in game two, Stocks was 1-for-2 with the game’s only RBI.

Lehigh freshman Morgan Decker (Central Bucks South) was named the Patriot League Player of the Week for the second straight week and added Rookie of the Week honors as well. Decker had another strong week at the plate, batting .462 (6-for-13) with three home runs and eight runs batted in. She also drew seven walks for an on-base percentage of .650. Lehigh’s starting third baseman hit safely in four of six games and reached base safely in all six. In game one of Lehigh’s doubleheader sweep at Princeton, Decker drilled a pair of home runs and drove in a career high five RBIs in a 9-2 win. Decker added two hits and three RBIs in an 8-0 win over Holy Cross, blasting a two-run home run and bringing home the game-ending run with a sixth inning double to right center. Decker leads the Patriot League in batting average (.417), doubles (14), home runs (eight), RBIs (39) and walks (28). She is batting .500 (22-for-44) with six doubles, five home runs and 19 RBIs in 17 games so far in April.
Decker added to her Patriot League-leading RBI lead with two more in Lehigh’s 7-2 win over Colgate in game one of a doubleheader sweep Saturday. With another RBI in Lehigh’s 3-0 win in the nightcap, Decker now has 43 RBIs on the season. In Tuesday’s 4-3 win over Columbia, Decker was 1-for-3 with a run scored and RBI.

Katelyn Donald (North Penn) hit a two-run home run in Eastern University’s 4-0 win over Delaware Valley College on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 8-0 win over Cairn, Donald had three hits and three RBIs.

Freshman Ali Waddington (Central Bucks South) notched her first collegiate home run, a two-run home run in the fourth inning of La Salle’s 13-10 loss to UMBC in game one of a doubleheader on Tuesday.

Mary Ward (North Penn) was 1-for-3 with one run scored and two RBIs in IUP’s 14-1 win over Mercyhurst on Sunday. In Saturday’s 11-8 win over Lock Haven, Ward was 2-for-5 with a double, one run and one RBI. In Tuesday’s 7-3 win over Clarion in game one of a doubleheader sweep, Ward was 1-for-4 with a double. In IUP’s 9-1 win in the nightcap, Ward was 2-for-3 with a home run, one run and one RBI.

Deanna Dungee (North Penn) suffered her second loss of the season in Alvernia’s 4-2 loss to Messiah College on Wednesday, allowing eight hits and three earned runs. Dungee is 17-2 on the season.

Senior Lindsey Iden (Council Rock North) hit her first home run of the season in Holy Family’s 3-1 win over Post University on Saturday. She finished the day 2-for-7 with a team-high two RBIs.  In Wednesday’s 7-0 win over Philadelphia University in game one of a twinbill, Deanna Myers (William Tennent) contributed a double and run scored, and sophomore Kelsi Bunda (Pennsbury) delivered an RBI single. In Monday’s 3-0 win over Wilmington, Rachael Alligood (Harry S Truman) allowed just five hits while striking out five in seven innings to earn the shutout win. Myers hit her fifth home run of the season and 24th of her career in the win. In last Sunday’s 4-0 win over Concordia, Alligood recorded her sixth victory and fourth shutout of the season, scattering six hits while striking out four in seven innings. Myers delivered an RBI double. In Holy Family’s 9-4 win over Concordia in game two of the doubleheader sweep, Bunda had an RBI single.

Alyssa Virginio (Central Bucks South) was 2-for-3 with a run scored in Penn State Abington’s 5-2 win over Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday. In Tuesday’s 5-4 win over Delaware Valley College, Virginio contributed a two-run single.

Kelly Hendrickson (William Tennent) was 3-for-5 with three RBIs in Cairn University’s 19-15 win over Baptist Bible College on Monday. Teammate Ashley Mitchell (Pennsbury) was 3-for-4.

MEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Sam Brooks (Wissahickon)
and Luke Rotenberger (Quakertown) were part of the 4x400 relay team representing Elizabethtown in the Pop Haddleton MAC section of the Penn Relays at Franklin Field on Friday. Elizabethtown finished seventh out of nine teams with a season-best time of 3:25.20. In the Paul Kaiser Classic at Shippensburg on Saturday, Rotenberger was part of the 4x100 relay team that ran a season-best time of 44.63.

West Chester’s Jay Jabat (Pennsbury) won the high jump, clearing 6’6.75” at the Last Chance meet on Friday night and qualifying for PSACs.

Junior Jonathan Eisemann (Central Bucks South) and junior Tyler Dougherty (Central Bucks South) were part of St. Joseph University’s 4x200 relay team that took fifth in its heat and finished 19th overall at the 2013 Penn Relays on Friday, posting a time of 1:27.01.  Senior Dave Manion (Central Bucks South) was part of the DMR that finished 23rd in 10:17.85. Manion was part of the 4x800 relay that finished 15th and met the IC4A standard for the event with a time of 7:39.17. Eismann and Dougherty were part of the Sprint Medley Championship of America team that took 26th in 3:30.21. James Rodgers (Springfield) took fourth in the 400 meter run at the Lehigh Games on Saturday.

Shippensburg junior Dan Dreeman (Council Rock South) placed third in the 800 meters at Saturday’s Paul Kaiser Classic, posting a PSAC qualifying time of 1:53.16. Dominic Raguz (Central Bucks South) was part of the fourth place 4x400 relay team that posted a time of 3:22.51.

WOMEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Elizabethtown’s Jackie Zylka (Souderton) set a personal record in the 100 at Saturday’s Paul Kaiser Classic at Shippensburg.

Tiffany Burrows (Quakertown) was part of Messiah College’s 4x400 relay team that finished seventh out of 10 teams competing in the College Women’s 4x400 Centennial/MAC relay race at the Penn Relays on Saturday, posting a time of 4:15.83.

Messiah College’s Victoria Hepp (Council Rock North) raced a season best time of 5:22.85 in the 1500 meter race at the Paul Kaiser Classic hosted by Shippensburg on Saturday.

Sophomore Kayla Charles (North Penn) was part of St. Joseph University’s relay team that finished ninth with a time of 1:03.26 in the Shuttle Hurdles Championship of America at the 2013 Penn relays on Friday.

Shippensburg senior Caitlin Stuetz (Cheltenham) completed the 400-meter hurdles in 1:02.03 at the 2013 Penn Relays, topping last year’s time of 1:02.65. On Saturday at the Paul Kaiser Classic, Stuetz won the 100-meter and 400-meter hurdles with season PRs and NCAA provisional qualifiers. Stuetz won the 100 in 14.33 and aced the 400 in 1:02.13 – increasing her PSAC lead in both events. A national qualifier last season in the 400 hurdles, Stuetz currently ranks 21st in the NCAA rankings. Junior Monique Clemons (Wissahickon) finished fifth in the 400 meters with a time of 58.53. Clemens also was part of the 4x400 relay that finished first with a time of 3:52.49.
