ABINGTON 17, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 5
The Ghosts laid claim to the National Conference crown with their convincing win over the second place Golden Hawks. Abington led 6-1 at the end of one quarter and extended that lead to 16-2 at the end of three quarters on its way to the no-doubt-about-it win.
Will Dulin’s seven-point effort on four goals and three assists led the Ghosts. Hunter Jones added five goals and one assist, and Brian Gallagher had three goals and two assists. Joey Lomady, Gus Greenberg and Austin Pifani each added one goal and one assist. Christian Werner and Joe Bisaquino both had one goal. Cameron Leech had two assists, and John O’Riordan had one assist to close out the scoring.
Defensively, Lomady led the way with 12 ground balls. Pifani had nine ground balls while Jones added six and Dulin, four. Lomady was 9-1 on face offs, and Pifani was 4-1.
In goal Eric Goldsbourough faced eight shots and had six saves. Blake Friedman added a pair of saves for the Ghosts.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 16, SOUDERTON 3
The Titans beat the Indians 16-3 in a Suburban One Continental Conference boys lacrosse game played at CB South on Tuesday afternoon. The Titans scored a season high 16 goals, thanks to an unselfish offensive approach that saw 12 different players break into the scoring column, while the defense matched their season low in goals against, allowing only ten shots on goal by Souderton for the entire game.
The Titans took a 5-2 lead into halftime, but tight defense and dominant face-off play by CB South's Anthony Paone (1 goal, 1 assist, 11 ground balls) helped break the game open in the third period as the Titans went on to score seven goals in the quarter to Souderton's one tally. Brendan McGrath had a game high five goals, one assist and eight ground balls to lead all scorers, while Tom DiBrino and Ty McGee each had two goals and two assists for CB South. Ty Strayline, Willie Pendleton and Joel Zimmerman each had one goal and one assist for the Titans, while Jake Henze, Jimmy Gallagher and long-pole Bobby DiBrino added a goal. Henze also had six ground balls. AJ Caputo and goalie Ryan Kelly rounded out the scoring with one assist each.
The Titans’ relentless defense caused numerous Indians turnovers and was led by Kevin Witchey, Ryan Sullivan, Brandon Jacobsen and Timmy Ross, while Jason Sklencar and Kevin Uzelac contributed to some key stops. Goalie Ryan Kelly had seven saves to surpass 750 saves in his career. The Indians were led by a hat trick from Collin Asbury and two assists from Tyler Macdougal. Remi Reeves was credited with 18 saves. With the win, the Titans upped their record to 8-3 in the SOL and 12-4 overall, while the Indians closed out their SOL campaign at 3-9 and dropped to 5-11 overall.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 11, NORTH PENN 1
Jimmy Seykot and Corey Schott led a balanced West attack with two goals each. Jimmy Steigerwald added a goal and an assist while Sam Piccone, Riley Kratzke, Logan O’Hara, Ryan Green and Clark Hawes all added single goals.
The Bucks, who bolted to a 9-0 halftime lead, held a lopsided 47-21 advantage in shots.
West goalie Mike Harvan was credited with five saves while North Penn’s Chris Barr stopped 15 shots.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 14, PENNRIDGE 5
Matt Schmidt had a five-point game, leading the Patriots’ attack with one goal and four assists. Matt Milici and Matt Heim both had two goals and one assist, and Cole Rushworth and Zach Kane each had a pair of goals. Matt Vetter had one goal and one assist. Contributing one goal were Matt Brown, Malcolm Mackenzie, Anthony Casselli and Jason Achenbach. Geoff Kuhn had one assist.
Rushworth won 14 of 16 face offs while Andrew Delbracco won five of six face offs. Sean McGovern, Sean McSherry and Bryan Szymanski each had two saves in goal for the Patriots, who led 9-3 at halftime. Tyler Butler led the defense with five ground balls and two caused turnovers. Dustin Buchanan and Peter Donavan both had three ground balls and two caused turnover.
East, which upped its record to 13-3 overall (9-2 SOL), scored 14 goals on 48 shots. The Rams are 2-12 overall (1-9 SOL).

HATBORO-HORSHAM 8, HOLY GHOST PREP 7
The Hatters won their fifth straight game, their 13th out of their last 14, with Tuesday's non-league win over Holy Ghost Prep. Zach Erwine (four goals), Jimmy Murphy (one goal, one assist), Jimmy Durkin (three assists) and Ryan Higgins (one goal, one assist) led the Hatters offensively. Ben Cellini and Steve Palo each contributed one goal. Murphy also led the team with seven ground balls. Palo dominated face offs, giving the Hatters plenty of opportunities to maintain their lead and hold on for the victory. Marc Poust was solid in goal, recording 12 saves on 19 shots. The Hatters are 14-3 overall (11-0 SOL).
UPPER MERION 21, CHELTENHAM 1
Trevor Kupecky led the Vikings with a superb 13-point effort, contributing four goals and nine assists. Mikey Zadroga added five goals and one assist while Joe Mintzer, Jack Rosenfeld, Ryan Marquez and Mike Shuster each added a pair of goals. Mintzer also had an assist. Nick Shendge and Paul Salamy both had one goal and one assist, and Dan Acheck and Kevin O’Sullivan each had single goals. Steve Ferguson closed out the scoring with an assist. Goalie Troy Minnich was credited with six saves.
WISSAHICKON 12, NORRISTOWN 1
Thirteen players got into the scoring column for the Trojans. Alex Chiodo-Ortiz (two goals, three assists), Cole Kropnick (two goals, two assists) and Tyler Zapach (two goals) led the balanced attack. Brooks Melvin had one goal and one assist. Contributing one goal were John Carrozza, Jack Shea, Nate DeGroat, Jesse Miller and Sean Miller. Zach Scannapieco, Will Clements, Jay Draham and Keith Oliphant each chipped in an assist.
Sean Calhoun accounted for the Eagles’ lone goal.
Tyler Freas and Jack Myers each had a pair of saves in goal for the Trojans.
UPPER DUBLIN 10, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 7
Freshman Michael Sowers had a seven-point game to lead the Flying Cardinals, contributing two goals and five assists. Ben Winebrake added the hat trick, and Michael Rama also had a three-point day with two goals and an assist. Drew Potts had one goal and one assist, and Ryan Swinski and Nicholas Vernacchio both had one goal.
The two teams battled to a 3-3 halftime tie, but the Cardinals seized control of the game with a 7-2 third quarter.
Jack Deregon had 11 saves in goal for the Cardinals. Riley White had 14 saves for the Colonials, who were led by Corey Kelly’s three-goal, one-assist effort.

Monday, May 6
HATBORO-HORSHAM 10, DOWNINGTOWN WEST 7
The Hatters earned a big non-conference win on Monday. Jimmy Murphy (three goals, two assists), Zach Erwine (three goals), Ben Cellini (two goals) and Ryan Higgins (one goal, one assist) led the Hatters offensively. Steve Palo also got in the scoring column with a single goal.
Murphy and Higgins led the team in ground balls with three each. Marc Poust had another big game in goal, recording 14 saves on 21 shots. Poust also benefitted from the solid defensive effort of Jake Cresta, TJ Keleher, Keith Cameron and Matt McPoyle.
COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 9, NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 3
Kyle Walter scored a game-high four goals while teammate Mitchell Vaysman also had a four-point day with one goal and three assists. Shane Magrann and Tommy Vanderslice both had one goal and one assist. Kole and Presley both added single goals.
