SOL Girls' Volleyball Results (9-19-13)

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 1 (23-25, 25-16, 25-19, 25-14
The Titans dropped the first set but rallied to win the next three to earn the win over their neighboring rivals. Jax Babezki and Jackie Haffey led the Titans with eight solo blocks and 12 kills each. Madi Conroy and Lindsey Edling combined for 24 assists. Taylor Danilowicz and Cecilia Miller had five and seven kills respectively. Caitlyn McCrory had seven aces, and Larissa Keer dug for 20 assists.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, NESHAMINY 0
Senior outside hitters Katie Quinn (eight kills, four aces) and Kelly Nicholas (seven kills, two aces) had big nights at the net for the Golden Hawks. Junior setter Maddie Henschel had 13 assists and two aces, and sophomore setter/opposite Grace Laggan had 12 assists, four kills and two aces.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, QUAKERTOWN 0 (25-14, 25-10, 25-18)
Bridgette Terrel (eight kills), Hannah Lunak (six kills) and Rachel Clow (six kills) led a balanced Patriot attack. The Patriots served for 16 aces, including four by Natalie Arm and three each from Lauren Helveston and Lindsay McIntosh. Erin Lane led the defense with 10 digs.

HATBORO-HORSHAM 3, CHELTENHAM 0 (25-8, 25-17, 25-12)
Every player contributed to the win. Junior Candyce Riley led the serving with 20 points including three aces, and she also had four digs.  The offense was led by junior Sam Jones with nine kills, sophomore Cassidy Quattro with seven kills, junior Alexa Kennedy with six kills, junior Dymond Black with four kills, and sophomore Jaimee Stockzo with three kills.  The team had six blocks and thirteen aces.  Senior Katie McKay dished out 18 assists and senior Hannah Steiger added 12.

UPPER DUBLIN 3, WISSAHICKON 0 (25-14, 25-19, 25-20
Taylor Stek led the Flying Cardinals with six kills and four aces while Melanie Phifer had three aces and three kilLs.

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, BENSALEM 0
Carson Easterly led a strong Rock North service game with seven aces while Sam Rowen had 11 assists.

Wednesday, Sept. 18
PENNRIDGE 3, SOUDERTON 0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-15)
In a contest that pitted coach against former player, it was Pennridge coach Zech States whose squad had the upper hand as the former Ram standout saw his team sweep the Indians, who are coached by Pennridge boys’ coach Dave Childs.
Meghan Keefe had 12 assists and seven digs for the Rams while Kara Weaver had 15 digs. Lauren Druotch had five blocks.
For the Indians, Alycia Beebe had five kills and two blocks, and Anna Dudzinski had four kills. Cori Watson had 12 assists and three aces, and Savannah Bostwick had 14 digs. 

NORRISTOWN 3, HARRY S TRUMAN 1 (25-18, 25-15, 22-25, 25-13)
The Eagles used a strong service game to earn the non-league win. Lucy Cusamono recorded 32 points on serve and two kills. Camelina Branca led the Lady Eagles with five kills and a block. Jackie Cook contributed to the Eagles’ success with four aces, 16 points on serve, two kills and five assists. Karla Ronan had 14 assists. Arlandra Wayne came up with four kills and three blocks.
