Sterling Limo Players of the Game (Wk 9)

Sterling Limousine and Transportation Services of Wrightstown is proud to recognize the Players of the Week for each conference. Players are chosen based on the nomination of coaches.

NATIONAL CONFERENCE

Sterling Limousine National Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week – Charles Snorweah, Pennsbury High school
The junior running back had another big night for the Falcons, accumulating 207 yards and contributing three touchdowns on just five carries in Pennsbury’s win over Bensalem.
Coach Galen Snyder says:  “Charles is having an excellent season. He’s paid his dues the last two years as a freshman and sophomore. There were a lot of things we asked him to do like blocking, which he still does. Now this year he’s been able to really carry the ball more.”

Sterling Limousine National Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week – Tyler Anderson, Council Rock South
The senior running back finished the night with 166 yards rushing and four touchdowns – three on the ground and one in the air – in Rock South’s 34-21 win over William Tennent.
Coach Vince Bedesem says:  “Tyler has just played tremendous all season. Obviously, you can speak so highly after a win, but even in our losses, Tyler has given that same effort and given those same performances. This is a kid that is coming off ACL surgery not even a year ago. He’s moving on to play college baseball, and he’s just a tremendous kid. Talk about hard work ethic, a focused individual that really epitomizes the leadership he gives. He’s not a real big talker, but the kids always recognize where he is on the field and the hard work ethic he gives us.”

Sterling Limousine National Conference Defensive Player of the Week – Seth Leuz, Council Rock North
The sophomore outside linebacker blocked a field goal attempt and had a fourth quarter interception to seal Rock North’s 21-17 come-from-behind win over Truman.
Coach Adam Collachi says:  “Seth is a great competitor who has a knack for finding the football. He came up with three or four huge plays for this past week that helped lead us to a hard fought win over Truman.”

CONTINENTAL CONFERENCE

Sterling Limousine Continental Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week, Justin Hudimac, North Penn
The senior wide receiver had four receptions for 67 yards and a touchdown and three carries for 46 yards and a touchdown in North Penn’s big win over Central Bucks West. He also had a 43-yard kickoff return.
Coach Dick Beck says:  “In the last two weeks against Pennridge and against CB West - probably the two biggest games of the year, he’s had his two best games. Justin has really matured this year. In the beginning of the year, he was not used to starting on the varsity and not used to being the number one receiver. As the year has gone along, we have some plays to get him more involved in the offense, and he’s really taken advantage of that. He’s touching the ball seven to 10 times a game, but he’s averaging 15-20 yards a touch, which is huge.”

Sterling Limousine Continental Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week – Alec Vera, Quakertown High School
The Panthers’ junior quarter completed 6-of-7 passes for 128 yards. He also had eight carries for 21 yards and a touchdown in the Panthers’ 24-7 win over Central Bucks South.

Sterling Limousine Continental Conference Defensive Player of the Week – Mason Schmauder, Quakertown High School
The Panthers’ senior defensive end had a monster defensive game against CB South, contributing 10 tackles, five tackles for a loss, one sack, one batted ball and one interception.

AMERICAN CONFERENCE

Sterling Limousine American Conference Co-Defensive Players of the Week –  Malik Ball & Brendon Doyle, Springfield High School
Ball contributed seven tackles, one sack (for a 14-yard loss) and one huge forced fumble on the one-yard line in the final seconds of the game to preserve the Spartans’ 18-16 win over Upper Moreland.
Doyle had six tackles, one interception and one huge fumble recovery on the one-yard line in the final seconds of the game.
Coach Chris Shelly says:  “Overall, Malik and Brendon were a big part of a Spartan defense that held Upper Moreland running back (Tyler) Whitmore to 48 yards on 17 carries.”
