Strengths: Team consists of a lot of good hard-working kids who are not afraid of being challenged.  They love the sport and enjoy pushing each other. Ritter, Winshel, Levy, Schwartz, and Doherty formed a core group of kids who dedicated themselves to working hard on their strength and conditioning in the offseason with one of our volunteer coaches Rich Delgado who wrestled for Rider.  These young men have helped to create an energetic and positive environment.  Most of the weight classes will be filled with wrestlers that have some varsity experience, and the upperclassmen have been great leaders and examples for the underclassmen to follow.

Question Marks: Dewitt Moore at 220 is an athletic first year wrestler as a senior, and Hansol Kim at 285 is a junior who has not wrestled since eighth grade.  Both of these wrestlers are much welcomed additions after a season where the team was often forced to forfeit these two weight classes, and hopefully, they can prove a difference as they continue to learn, grow, and develop.

Outlook: “The coaching staff is looking forward to a fun year with a great group of young men who are great to coach.  There has been a great turnout this season, and we have already seen a lot of growth and improvement from last year.”
