National Conference Millennium Administrators Highlighted Player
Maureen Helm – Senior at Abington High School
Helm has been a part of the program for four years, and although the senior doesn’t see a whole lot of minutes on the court, she is a key member of the team as evidenced by the fact that she was voted captain of her team as both a junior and senior.
Note from the coach:
“She’s one of the hardest working kids I have ever coached,” coach Dan Marsh said. “She pushes everybody. She know her role very well – she doesn’t play very often, but she accepts that and just pushes everybody.
“She’s a tough kid, she’s a great student – she’s an all-around kid that coaches love. The kids voted her captain as junior, and here’s a kid who never plays who’s a two-year captain. It shows the respect her teammates have for her and what she means to this team. She’s who we are – that’s what we want all of our athletes to be, to never take anything for granted, and she doesn’t.”
About Maureen:
Best memory playing basketball: All of the tournaments we’ve been in and all the fun that came along with them.
Part of the game I enjoy most: Being able to play with such a great group of girls and some of my closest friends who I’ve played with since I first started basketball.
My role model is: Taylor Swift
Music that gets me pumped before games: Anything my teammates play. They always have music to get everyone pumped up.
Favorite food: Anything buffalo chicken related
Favorite TV show: Big Bang Theory

Continental Conference Millennium Administrators Highlighted Player
Brianna Wade – Senior at Central Bucks South High School
A second year varsity player, Wade, who specializes in defense, can start and contribute from any position.
Note from the coach:
“Brianna Wade is a workhorse on the basketball court,” coach Beth Mattern said. “She brings an energy and a desire to be successful every day regardless if it is practice or a game. She is a leader in her work ethic and commitment to the team.
“On the court, Brie is a physical player who loves to play defense. She will play a guard, post, whatever the team needs! As a coach, I enjoy watching Brie play, especially when she is defending the post. Most probably underestimate her because she is smaller, but they don’t account for her tenacity on the court. Both on and off the court, Brie had a lot to offer. She is a true team player and an awesome individual.”
About Brie:
Best memory playing basketball: Going to Florida for AAU Nationals.
Part of the game I enjoy most: Defending the other team’s top players.
My role model is: Tim Tebow
Music that gets me pumped before games: Rap/Hip Hop

American Conference Millennium Administrators Highlighted Player
Veronica Asman – Senior at Springfield (Montco) High School
A four-year varsity players, Asman is a two-year captain. She not only provides leadership but also can be counted on to contribute scoring.

“Veronica has an awesome work ethic,” coach Bill Krewson said. “She is a dependable, hard working player you would love to have a few of on your team. She is a consistent scorer for us, and we can count on her anywhere on the court.”
About Veronica:
Best memory playing basketball: Playing at Villanova my freshman year in the district championship.
Part of the game I enjoy most: The anticipation of tip off.
My role model is: My mom-mom Chut.
