BASEBALL
Sophomore Daniel Chou (Wissahickon) threw a complete game in California Institute of Technology’s 15-1 win over Lawrence on Saturday. It is the first time since the 2001 season that a Caltech squad has given up just one or fewer runs. Chou scattered nine hits to earn his second career win in a Beaver uniform. In Caltech’s 9-8 loss to Lawrence in game one of the twinbill, Chou went 2-for-4 with four RBIs.
Pete O’Hara (Council Rock North) delivered a solo home run in Delaware Valley 10-2 loss to Wilkes University on Saturday. In Del Val’s 6-4 loss in the second game of the twinbill, O’Hara doubled and scored.
Dylan Borawski (North Penn) threw three scoreless innings, allowing no hits while striking out seven in Northampton’s 7-5 win over Mohawk Valley during the team’s trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C. In Northampton’s 10-0 win over Ancilla College, Ben Hauser (Central Bucks East) went 2-for-3 with two RBIs. In Northampton’s 7-6 win over Bunker Hill, Matt Roberts (Quakertown) earned the win in relief, going 2 1/3 innings and allowing two runs (one earned), walking four and striking out three.
Junior Billy Fleming (Council Rock South) had four hits, scored two runs and had an RBI in West Virginia’s 13-10 loss to UNC Wilmington on Sunday. In West Virginia’s 9-3 win over UNC Wilmington on Saturday, Fleming was 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs. In Wednesday’s 5-1 win over No. 12 North Carolina, Fleming had two hits and two RBIs.
Daniel Seitzinger (Central Bucks West) was 2-for-4 with one RBI and five runs scored and Matt Hanson (Central Bucks West) was 3-for-5 with two RBIs and one run in Moravian’s 17-3 win over Catholic University on Sunday. In Saturday’s 7-6 win over Catholic in game two of a twinbill sweep, Hanson contributed a hit, run and RBI. In Moravian’s 3-2 win over Catholic University in 11 innings in game one, Hanson contributed an RBI triple and scored a run. In Friday’s 10-0 win over Drew, Seitzinger and Hanson both had RBI singles. In a 2-1 loss to Drew in game one of Friday’s twinbill, Hanson had an RBI single.
Jim Smith (North Penn) was 4-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI in Saint Peter’s 9-8 win over Seton Hall on Wednesday.
Jake Drossner (Council Rock North) scattered three hits over six shutout innings in Maryland’s 6-0 win over UMBC on Wednesday. His six-inning outing was a season high, and he recorded five strikeouts, tying his season best. The CR North grad faced only three batters over the minimum (21) and retired 11 straight between the second and fifth innings.
Craig Lepre (North Penn) had a single and two RBI’s in the University of Marist's 7-4 win over Albany on Tuesday. He also had a hit in Albany's 3-0 win in game one of the twinbill. Although Albany was swept by Stony Brook this weekend, Lepre led Albany with a 2-for-4 performance with two runs scored in Sunday's 7-4 loss. He doubled and had an RBI in game two's 6-2 loss.
Junior designated hitter Ken McCormick (Pennsbury) had two hits in Philadelphia University’s 2-1 win over Wilmington (Del.) on Saturday. In Philly U’s 3-2 loss to Wilmington in the nightcap, McCormick delivered a sacrifice fly. In Thursday’s 7-6 win over Bloomfield, McCormick contributed an RBI single. In last Sunday’s 14-2 win over Lincoln, senior starting pitcher Rob Spragis (Central Bucks South) earned his first win of the season with five shutout innings. He struck out two and gave up four hits.
Robert Knox (Upper Moreland) was 2-for-3 with one RBI and teammate Tyler Coleman (Quakertown) was 1-for-3 with one run and three RBIs in West Chester’s 8-4 win over Kutztown in game two of a doubleheader sweep on Sunday. In West Chester’s 5-3 win in game one, Knox was 1-for-3 with an RBI and Coleman also had an RBI. In Saturday’s 6-4 win over Kutztown, Coleman homered and singled with two runs scored and an RBI while Knox had a single and RBI.
Gwynedd Mercy junior Eric Heaney (Hatboro-Horsham) earned the CSAC Baseball Hitter of the Week award for the week ending March 16. Heaney went 4-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored, two RBIs and a stolen base in the Griffins’ 12-2 win at Stevenson, helping Gwynedd to its third straight win.
Senior John Burns (Neshaminy) hit a two-run triple and Heaney had a two-run single in Gwynedd Mercy’s 13-3 win over Cairn on Saturday. In Friday’s 16-5 win over Cairn, Burns had three hits and three RBIs. In Wednesday’s 4-3 loss to TCNJ, Heaney went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Freshman Vince Careghini (Central Bucks East) contributed an RBI single in Shippensburg’s 11-4 win over Pittsburgh-Johnstown on Wednesday.
Matt Hollenbeck (Hatboro-Horsham) came on to pitch in the eighth inning with two outs and runners on second and third and retired the first batter he faced on a flyout in Georgetown’s 6-2 win over Towson on Friday.
Ryan Henritzy (Council Rock North) drove in Lock Haven’s lone run in the Bald Eagles 7-1 loss to Bloomsburg on Saturday.
Trey Guaglionona (Abington) delivered an RBI single in Penn State Abington’s 6-0 win over SUNY Canton on Saturday. In Friday’s 6-2 win over SUNY Canton, Tom Kreiling (Neshaminy) earned the win on the mound, scattering eight hits while striking out four and walking two in eight innings of work.
Eastern University centerfielder Tyler Orr (Neshaminy) was named the Freedom Conference Player of the Week for the week ending March 16 after a strong weekend against Wilkes University. Orr helped the Eagles take the first conference series of the year by producing multiple RBIs in each of three games. Entering the weekend, Orr’s season batting average was 0.63 (1-for-16), but he heated up against Wilkes, batting 5-for-12 with eight RBIs, a double and a home run. Orr had a .750 slugging percentage for the weekend. Orr’s home run in Eastern’s 10-0 win was the eighth of his career, putting him in a tie for fourth on Eastern’s career leader list. In a 4-3 win, he had a two-run double. In Eastern’s 8-7 loss to Wilkes in extra innings, Orr was 3-for-6 with four RBIs.
Jared Weed (Council Rock North) went five innings and earned the win in IUP’s 4-1 win over Slippery Rock on Saturday. The Rock North grad allowed six hits and one earned run as he improved to 1-2 on the year.
Sophomore pitcher Zachary Crimm (Hatboro-Horsham) threw five innings, allowing six hits and one run while striking out five in Chestnut Hill’s 11-6 win over Concordia in game two of a twinbill. In Chestnut Hill’s 12-4 win in game one of the twinbill, Patrick Campion (Norristown) was 1-for-3 with a run scored and RBI.
Tim Filer (Council Rock North) delivered the game-winning single in the eighth inning of Lebanon Valley’s 7-6 win over Albright on Saturday. In Thursday’s 5-2 win over Ursinus, Filer was 2-for-4 with an RBI single.
Senior pitcher Greg Welsh (Council Rock South) tossed the second complete game of his career in Penn State’s 1-0 loss to Bucknell on Saturday in game one of a twinbill. The Rock South grad threw six innings, scattering three hits and one walk while allowing no earned runs in the shortened seven-inning game. The game’s only run came in the fifth and was unearned.
Sophomore Ryan Clow (Central Bucks East) teamed up with Zach Wasson to throw a seven-inning no-hitter in Kutztown’s 6-0 win over Virginia State in game two of a twinbill on Tuesday. The CB East grad pitched the first four innings and notched four strikeouts with three walks. Teammate Brandon Martinez (North Penn) singled and scored a run. In Kutztown’s 4-1 win in game one, Martinez singled, doubled, stole a base and drove in a run. In Saturday’s 9-0 win over West Chester in game one of a twinbill, Martinez was 2-for-4 with two runs scored. In Kutztown’s 6-4 loss in game two, Martinez singled, stole a base and scored a run. In Sunday’s 5-3 loss to West Chester in game one of a doubleheader, Martinez led the way with two hits. In Kutztown’s 8-4 loss in the nightcap, Martinez and Warren Stimpson (Wissahickon) each finished with two hits. Matt Matricardi (Upper Dublin) threw a scoreless inning in relief.
Cody Stoneback (Quakertown) threw a scoreless inning in relief in Millersville’s 6-5 loss to IUP on Thursday.
Freshman Brady West (North Penn) was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and two RBIs in Bloomsburg’s 16-0 win over Lock Haven in game one of a doubleheader on Sunday. Pinch hitter Pete Edgar (North Penn) delivered a two-run double. Nick Donofry (Council Rock North) pitched a perfect seventh to close out the win, striking out one. In Saturday’s 7-1 win over Lock Haven in game one of a doubleheader, West contributed an RBI single.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
Randolph-Macon junior Marcus Badger (Plymouth Whitemarsh) was named to the All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference third team. He averaged 8.9 points and 3.6 assists per game.
Cabrini senior Fran Rafferty (Upper Merion) was named to the D3hoops.com All Mid-Atlantic second team and also was named to the NABC All-Region second team. The Upper Merion grad established himself among the nation’s best shooters throughout his career. The senior posted 14.3 points per contest while shooting 0.507 from the floor and 0.454 from three-point range. Rafferty connected on at least three three-pointers in 15 of the team’s 28 games this season, including six at Marywood and five at Immaculata en route to a career high 31 points. Rafferty ranked among the SCAC’s top 10 in points, field goal percentage, three-point percent and three-pointers made per game. For his career, Rafferty ranks fourth on Cabrini’s all-time points list with 1,403 and 15th in rebounding with 559 boards. He is part of the winningest class in program history with 106 career wins.
Sophomore Ryan Arcidiacono (Neshaminy) contributed 18 points and six assists in Villanova’s 77-65 loss to Connecticut in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday. The Wildcats, the BIG EAST regular season champions, conclude their season at 29-5.
East Stroudsburg junior guard Whis Grant (Plymouth Whitemarsh) was named to the NABC Division II Atlantic Region first team for the second straight year. He was named to the Daktronics All-Region first team and was a Daktronics and Division II Bulletin All-America honorable mention selection last season. He averaged 17.6 points per game for the second straight season and led ESU in scoring all three years on campus, posting 13.9 ppg as a freshman on the Warriors’ 2012 PSAC championship team. He averaged 3.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.5 steals per game, ranked second on the Warriors in minutes (29.3) and was a catalyst for the PSAC’s top scoring offense which scored 85.2 ppg. Grant will enter his senior season ranked fourth in school history with 1,487 career points.
Grant contributed 19 points, five rebounds and four assists in No. 2 East Stroudsburg’s 89-82 loss to No. 7 West Liberty in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Final on Tuesday. He earned a spot on the All-Tournament team. ESU advanced to the regional final for the second time in school history and first time since 1990, won its second PSAC championship in three years and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in five years.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Cabrini senior Brittany Sandone (Souderton) was named to the D3hoops.com All-Mid-Atlantic first team. The Souderton grad captured the CSAC Player of the Year honor. She averaged a team leading 14.5 points a game, tied for fourth in the CSAC. Sandone also posted 3.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.7 steals per contest. She connected on 1.8 three-pointers per game and hit 83.3 percent from the free throw line, both among the best in the conference. Sandone was Cabrini’s top scorer in 12 of the team’s 29 games, including a career high 27 points in a 74-63 win over Kean College. The senior closed her career with 1,366 points, fifth on Cabrini’s all-time scoring list, and 163 career steals, sixth all-time.
Sophomore Alex Wheatley (Council Rock South) had a team and career-high 22 points and 10 rebounds in Princeton’s 94-76 win over VCU in the opening round of the WNIT on Thursday evening. The postseason win marks the first since 1996 and ends the Tigers most recent winless drought in their last four consecutive appearances.
FIELD HOCKEY
Lehigh freshman Gabby Tofig (Council Rock North) was named to the 2013 NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad in addition to earning a spot on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. Student-athletes are recognized for achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher during the first semester of the 2013-14 academic year. Tofig achieved a 3.42 GPA and is majoring in Material Science in the Engineering Department.
Cornell senior Elly Plappert (Council Rock North) was named offensive MVP when head coach Donna Hornibrook handed out the 2013 field hockey team awards at the program’s annual banquet. Plappert, who was named the team’s most improved player following both her sophomore and junior seasons, finished her Cornell career with a bang, achieving career highs in goals (nine), assists (three) and points (21). She was second on the team with three game-winning goals, scoring the decisive goals against Georgetown, St. Joe’s and Brown. Plappert registered a career-high four points on three occasions, scoring a pair of goals against both Penn and Dartmouth, while tallying one goal and two assists versus Colgate. For her efforts, Plappert was also given the Sportsmanship, Leadership and Determination Award. The Big Red finished the 2013 season at 10-7 overall and 4-3 in the Ivy League, good enough for third place in the conference standings. The team went over 100 points in a season for just the sixth time in program history. The 111 total team points ranks third in school history for a single-season performance.
MEN’S LACROSSE
Craig Hunsberger (Pennridge) scored an unassisted goal in Elizabethtown’s 11-3 win over Immaculata on Saturday. He also was a perfect 8-of-8 on face-offs.
Freshman Austin Marshall (Neshaminy) made his first career start and recorded nine saves in No. 4 Cabrini’s 15-9 win over Whittier College on Saturday.
Nick Guglielmi (Council Rock South) scored a goal in Gwynedd Mercy’s 7-6 loss to Lycoming on Saturday.

Junior Kimber Kisselback (Neshaminy) was credited with two caused turnovers in Holy Family’s 20-6 loss to Post University on Saturday.
Senior Amy Powell (Plymouth Whitemarsh) had a career-high seven points to lead Gwynedd Mercy to a 16-10 win over Notre Dame (Md.) on Saturday. Powell totaled six goals and an assist in the win. Goalie Megan Rose (Pennridge) made four saves.
Hannah Vogel (Hatboro-Horsham) scored a goal in Millersville’s 11-10 loss to No. 11 Queens (N.C.) on Tuesday. Kaitlin Crouthamel (Souderton) made seven saves in her first career loss. In Saturday’s 21-13 loss to Mercyhurst, Vogel scored four goals while Crouthamel, who faced a season-high 38 shots, made a career-high 10 saves.
Kayla Wisniewski (Plymouth Whitemarsh) scored her first career goal in Kutztown’s 12-7 road victory against Coker College on Wednesday.

Sophomore Ally Frymoyer (Upper Merion) came up with a save at the buzzer to preserve an 11-10 win over Edinboro on Saturday. She finished with nine saves, including several key stops in the second half. She also had three ground balls. Junior Garrie Grenfell (North Penn) scored back-to-back tallies in a 29-second span of the first half. In Shippensburg’s 10-7 loss to No. 3 Limestone, Frymoyer had a career-high 17 saves. Grenfell scored twice for the Raiders.
Senior Carly Bitzer (Central Bucks East) scored her first career goal in No. 10/13 Penn State’s 20-7 win over Michigan on Sunday. Senior defender Lauren Purvis (Hatboro-Horsham) had a game-high three caused turnovers.
Ashley Bossert (Wissahickon) and Aubrey Bossert (Wissahickon) each scored two goals in Bloomsburg’s 15-14 win over No. 6 West Chester on Saturday.
SOFTBALL
Sophomore Haileigh Stocks (Central Bucks South) had one of her team’s four hits in Robert Morris University’s 2-0 loss to Niagara on Friday. In last Sunday’s 1-0 win over Villanova in eight innings, Stocks collected a one-out single in the seventh, one of just two hits in the game.
Freshman Ashleigh Sharp (Upper Dublin) was 2-for-3 with two runs in Chestnut Hill’s 12-4 win over Nyack College on Saturday.
Justyna Pepkowski (Quakertown) earned the win in Elizabethtown’s 7-4 win over Catholic on Saturday, evening her record at 2-2 on the season.
Ashley Alden (William Tennent) was 1-for-3 with a double, run scored and RBI in St. Joe's 5-2 win over Penn in the second game of a doubleheader Saturday. She also had a hit in St. Joe's 5-0 win in game one of the twinbill.
Sophomore Morgan Decker (Central Bucks South) was 5-for-5 in Lehigh’s doubleheader against Colgate on Saturday, contributing a double, home run, four runs scored and seven runs batted in. In Lehigh’s 26-1 win in the opener of the twinbill, Decker was 3-for-3 with a double, three runs scored and four RBIs. In Lehigh’s 5-4 win in game two, Decker was 2-for-2 with a home run, three RBIs and a run scored. Decker smacked a three-run home run, her third home run of the season.
Guilford College sophomore Maggie Shaffer (Hatboro-Horsham) earned the Old Dominion Athletic Conference’s (ODAC) Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 16. Shaffer, a 5-7 right hander, won twice in the Quakers’ 2-1 week. She picked up a win over league rival Roanoke College with five-and-a-third innings of work. Shaffer helped her cause at the plate with a two-run single in the 9-7 triumph. Three days later she threw a six-hit shutout, the first of her college career, in Guilford’s 2-0 ODAC blanking of eighth-ranked Virginia Wesleyan College. The victory extended the Quakers’ winning streak to a school record 11 games. The previously unbeaten Marlins are Guilford’s highest-ranked victim since it downed #7 Emory University in 2012. Backed by a flawless defense, Shaffer held the Marlins to six hits, issued one walk and struck out one for her team-leading seventh win of the season. Shaffer improved to 7-1 with last week’s performance and lowered her earned run average to 2.68, the ODAC’s 12th best figure. She stands second in the conference in wins and is fourth with 47 innings pitched. Her seven starts and 18 runs allowed both rank fifth in the league. She has 17 strikeouts and holds opponents to a .251 batting average. At the plate, Shaffer is batting .211 with three runs batted in and four hits in 19 at-bats.

Tiffany Gower (North Penn) earned the win in Cairn University’s 11-1 win over Rosemont on Saturday, throwing five innings to earn her third win of the season. She allowed just one run and fanned six.
Danielle DiFilippo (Hatboro-Horsham) and teammate Gabbie Berry (Norristown) both had a pair of hits, including an RBI double, in Kuztown’s 3-1 win over Lock Haven in game one of a twinbill on Sunday. In Sunday’s 4-2 win in game two, DiFilippo had a pair of hits, including a two-run double. In Friday’s 4-1 loss to West Virginia State in the first game of a doubleheader, Stephanie Kulp (North Penn) hit her first home run of the season, a solo shot to right center in the fifth. She led the way with two hits in her four at-bats, and Heather Lutz (Hatboro-Horsham) was the only other Marauder with multiple hits (2-for-2). In Friday’s 11-7 loss in game two, Berry, Lutz and Kulp each had a hit. In Thursday’s 10-0 win over Lees-McRae, Maria Spinosa (Hatboro-Horsham), DiFilippo and Berry each delivered RBI singles in the third inning. DiFlippo also had a two run-double and finished with four RBIs. Berry was 3-for-4.
Allison Herbert (Hatboro-Horsham) threw two full innings and allowed two hits and no runs while striking out three in King’s College’s 16-2 win over Baptist Bible Prep on Friday.
Freshman Ally Horvath (Central Bucks South) had a pair of hits and scored a run in Widener’s 5-4 loss in eight innings to No. 14 Lebanon Valley on Saturday.
Sophomore Lauren Klepchick (Central Bucks South) had her second double in as many days in Rhode Island’s 4-2 win over Dayton on Saturday. In two games against the Flyers, she was 3-for-6 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBIs. In Friday’s 12-9 loss to Dayton, Klepchick doubled, singled, walked, drove in one run and scored one run to pace URI’s offense.
Sam Creamer (Neshaminy) had two of her team’s three hits in Cornell’s 4-0 loss to St. John’s last Sunday. Creamer broke up the no hitter in the sixth and doubled with a runner on first in the seventh to put runners on seconds and third with one out.

Alexis Deal (Council Rock South) added two doubles, and MaryKate Ballerino (Hatboro-Horsham) drove in three runs. In Gwynedd Mercy’s 12-0 win in the opening game of the doubleheader, Ballerino homered and had three RBIs. In last Sunday’s 5-1 loss to Swarthmore, Ballerino singled and scored the Griffins’ lone run.
Erin Quense (Neshaminy) was 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles in West Chester’s 6-4 loss to Lock Haven in game two of a twinbill on Saturday. In Wednesday’s 11-4 loss to Illinois-Springfield, Megan Kelly (Hatboro-Horsham) was 2-for-2 with an RBI while Kim Begley (Abington) was 1-for-2 with a run scored. In West Chester’s 9-0 shutout of Minnesota-Crookston on Wednesday, Begley went 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored and a pair of stolen bases. Ali Vavala (Central Bucks East) was also 2-for-2. In Monday’s 5-4 loss to Sioux Falls, Kelly delivered a two-run home run, and Begley added an RBI double. Vavala accounted for her team’s only other hit.
Chelsea Edwards (Hatboro-Horsham) was 2-for-3 in Lock Haven’s 4-2 loss to Millersville in game two of a twinbill on Sunday. In Saturday’s split with nationally-ranked West Chester on Saturday, Michelle Holweger (North Penn) was 2-for-4 with an RBI in game one (a 4-2 loss). She also was 2-for-4 in Lock Haven’s 6-4 win in game two, driving in one run and scoring twice.
MEN’S SWIMMING & DIVING
La Salle senior Dave Derr (Upper Dublin) has been named to the Atlantic 10 Men’s Swimming and Diving Academic All-Conference team. He was one of 10 male athletes to earn the distinction. The UD grad saved his best for last, breaking La Salle’s 200-yard backstroke record on the final day of the Atlantic 10 Championships. He clocked a 1:47.76 in the event, placing first in the consolation final and ninth overall. His top finish of the championships came in the 100-yard backstroke where he finished sixth with a personal best of 49.62. Derr also participated in three relay teams at the A-10 Championships. He swam the opening leg of the 400-yard medley relay team (3:19.80) and 200-yard medley relay team (1:31.36) that came in fifth and sixth, respectively. Derr also anchored the 200-yard freestyle relay team (1:23.44) that placed sixth. Derr carries a 3.54 GPA as an Accounting/MBA major.
WOMEN’S SWIMMING & DIVINGGettysburg senior Ali Roth (Central Bucks West) was named to the Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team.
Case Western Reserve University senior captain Maggie Dillione (Council Rock North) put an exclamation point on her career as a Spartan with a third place performance in the 200-yard butterfly at the 2014 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships in Indianapolis on Friday. Dillione ends her career as a four-time All-American with two finishes each in the 100 and 200 fly. One day earlier, Dillione placed seventh in the 100 fly with a time of 56.09 after swimming a 55.78 to during the morning prelims to rank fifth. She earned All-American honors in both of her signature events last season, becoming the program’s first All-American since 2007. She holds the school record in both the 100 (55.64) and 200 fly, and she is a member of two school-record relay teams. Dillione also excelled in the classroom during her time at CWRU. She is a three-time UAA All-American honoree as a biology (pre-med) major and was a CSCAA Scholar All-American in 2013.
MEN’S TENNIS
Steven Ly (Bensalem) earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles in Penn State Abington’s 9-0 win over Rosemont on Thursday. He also was part of the second doubles team that earned an 8-1 win. Lav Master (William Tennent) and Albert Bahn (North Penn) earned an 8-1 win at third doubles.
MEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Shippensburg’s Dominic Raguz (Central Bucks South) finished fourth in the 400 hurdles with a time of 58.46 at the Dr. Jack M. Toms Open on the campus of Lynchburg College on Saturday. Teammate Matthew Merritt (Upper Dublin) finished sixth in the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.17.
East Stourdsburg sophomore Eric Conard (Souderton) competed in the multi’s at UNC-Charlotte on Thursday and Friday, finishing ninth in the decathlon with 5,575 points. Teammate Keith Parker-Washington (Upper Moreland) finished second in the 100 meter dash with a PSAC qualifying time of 11.06 at Washington & Lee on Saturday. He also finished second in the 200 meter dash with a PSAC qualifying time of 22.05 and was part of the first place 4x400 meter relay (3:16.96) and second place 4x100 relay (42.02). Sean Hagerty (Pennridge) finished third in the triple jump (41-5) and eighth in the long jump (20-2 ½).
WOMEN’S TRACK & FIELD
Shippensburg’s Monique Clemons (Wissahickon) finished fourth in the 200m dash with a time of 26.42 at the Dr. Jack M. Toms Open on the campus of Lynchburg College on Saturday. She finished sixth in the 400 with a time of 1:03.19.
Bloomsburg’s Taylor Harkins (North Penn) set a new school record in the hammer throw with a mark of 40.46 at the Dr. Jack Toms Invitational at Lynchburg College on Saturday. She broke the previous best of 39.78 meters set in 2011. Kate Dodds (Upper Dublin) finished second in the 5000 meters with a time of 18:18.62.
Freshman Alex Bell (Norristown) was part of the East Stroudsburg’s first place 4x100 relay that posted a time of 48.57 as well as the first place 4x400 relay that posted a time of 3:58.05 at Washington & Lee on Saturday. She finished third in both the 100 meter dash (12.81) and 200 meter (25.94). Both are PSAC qualifying times. Teammate Kelley Anne Stuetz (Cheltenham) finished sixth in the 100 meter hurdles (16.75) and third in the high jump (5-0 ½)
MEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Senior Austin Jacoby (Pennridge) had five kills in No. 15 Stevenson’s 3-0 win over York (N.Y.) on Saturday. In Stevenson’s 3-0 win over Elmira later in the day, Jacoby had seven kills and seven digs. In Friday’s 3-1 loss to Kean, Jacoby had 11 kills and a season-high nine digs. In the Mustangs’ 3-0 sweep over Cairn on Wednesday, Jacoby had a match-high 15 kills.
Ryan Garven (Council Rock North) contributed seven kills, six digs and four blocks in Cairn university’s 3-0 loss to No. 15 Stevenson University on Wednesday.
