The Tri-Township Babe Ruth 16-18 year-old team, which includes numerous SOL players, continued its magical summer run, capturing the title of the Middle Atlantic Regional Tournament in West Windsor, N.J. The team compiled a 5-1 mark in the tournament, winning a pair of games against Northern York on Sunday by scores of 7-1 and 3-0 to capture the tournament crown.
As a result of its win, the team will be traveling to Ephfrata, Washington, to compete in the Babe Ruth World Series August 8-14.
