The Wissahickon boys water polo team hosted the boys team from Muhlenburg for the first time on Tuesday, September 23, 2014. The rumor is that Muhlenburg came into this game undefeated. The Trojan boys stopped that streak dead in its tracks winning by a score of 11 to 5. Both teams started out slowly scoring one goal each in the first period. Wiss came alive in the second out scoring their opponent 4-1. Wiss extended their lead in the third, ending the period 7-3. The Wiss boys finished strong scoring 4 to Muhlenburg's 1 in the fourth. Jake Berring lead the Trojan offense with 5 goals. David McFarland scored twice. The games most memorable play was David's steal when the Muhlenbug defender tried to lob the ball back to his goalie. David stole it, faked a shot, and fired it into the net. Ben Tumulo, Tim DeMarinis and Noah Katz scored one goal each. Ben Tate had an impressive 18 saves and Jeff Beyer played a strong defensive game with 6 steals.
