Sterling Limo Offensive Players of the Week
Mike Alley, Pennsbury – The junior quarterback rushed for more than 100 yards, which included a 58-yard touchdown run in Pennsbury’s 45-14 win over Garnet Valley.
Coach Galen Snyder says: “Mike provided a spark with his running. He also did a great job running the offense and providing – as he always does – leadership to the team.”
Ryan Stover, Upper Dublin –The junior quarterback completed 22-of-29 passes for 
293 yards and four touchdowns in Upper Dublin’s 41-23 win over third-seeded Bayard Rustin.
Coach Bret Stover says: “Ryan had an outstanding night running the offense vs. Rustin. He made all the right reads and throws, even the ones that he threw away. His ability to extend several plays enabled us to be efficient on offense and control the clock and keep the ball away from the explosive Rustin offense.”
Sterling Limo Defensive Players of the Week
Jordan O’Neill & Rob Daly, Pennsbury – O’Neill, a linebacker, had a hand in 15 tackles in Pennsbury’s district quarterfinal win over Garnet Valley. Daly came up with a pair of interceptions, returning one for a touchdown.
Coach Galen Snyder says: “The whole crew of defense played very well against a team that can run the ball real well. Jordan had the most tackles, but a lot of guys played well. Rob Daly had a two interceptions and returned one for a touchdown.”
Stacey Gardner, Upper Dublin – The junior linebacker led the Flying Cardinals’ defense with 11 tackles and two fumble recoveries.
Coach Bret Stover says: “Stacey had an outstanding night at linebacker with 11 tackles and two key fumble recoveries. His second came right before halftime and enabled us to close the deficit to two points heading into halftime.”
Brett Righter, Springfield (Montco) – The junior linebacker anchored the defense with numerous sacks, pressures and tackles in the Spartans’ 15-14 win over BAL champion Bristol.
Coach Chris Shelly says: “Only a junior, Brett has grown as a leader for our team. He has a tremendous football IQ and is as tough as nails. The best is yet to come for him.”
