Outlook: “As usual, the Continental Conference will be very competitive. There are several teams who have as good a chance as any to finish in the top spot. The team who throws the most strikes and makes the fewest mistakes is probably the team that people will have to catch.

“We bring back a fair amount of experience from last year and several players who had their first taste of everyday varsity innings last year. If we are not only a year older, but also a year sharper, I think we’ll be in the hunt with the other strong teams in the league.

“We are excited about what some of our seniors will bring to the field this year after a very productive offseason, and we know we have some real talent among our underclassmen on the field as well. Trusting their preparation and playing smart, aggressive baseball will help all of them once the first pitch is thrown. I think the common denominator among all of them and the coaches is we cannot wait to get out on the field. “
