Plymouth Whitemarsh senior Riley White has made a commitment to play collegiate lacrosse at Cabrini College.
Riley White – Cabrini College (Lacrosse)
Major: Undecided
Final list of colleges: Cabrini, Tampa University
Reasons for choosing Cabrini: “I wanted to play college lacrosse.”
What was the progression that led you to playing collegiate lacrosse? “My family all played lacrosse in college, and I wanted to as well.
“I began to think about it my freshman year, and my goalie coach, Brian Dougherty, helped me send out my first e-mail to college coaches.”
Coach Bryan Gregg says: “Riley is a goalie and a third-year starter for our team. As a sophomore, he was third team all-league goalie, and as a junior, he was first team all-league goalie. He’s a very skilled goalie. He’s very athletic, and he could probably play just about any position on the field, but he’s been playing goalie his whole life, and he’s very, very good at it.
“The defense is definitely the strength of our team, and it has been for a couple of years, and he’s the anchor of that.”
