Congratulations to Jrs. Ben Wolfe & Nimay Godbole from the Wissahickon Boys Tennis Team for winning all 3 of their matches during the first day of the PIAA District I Doubles Tournament. In the first round they beat the Lower Merion team of Legg & Kreuzer 6-4,6-2. In their 2nd round, they beat Yanni & Varma from North Penn 6-7, 6-2,6-2. In the quartefinal round they upended the 4th seeded team of Walen & Summerall from Council Rock North in a very grueling match 6-4, 5-7, 6-4.
This qualified them for the PIIA State Doubles Championships on May 22nd & 23rd.
They will face the #1 seed from Conestoga in the semi-finals tomorrow May 9th at the Healthplex. In the other semi-final match two other SOL teams (Upper Dublin and CB West) will square off .
