Last year’s record: 13-4-2 overall, 9-4-2 SOL
Notable losses: Michaela Finneyfrock (St Joe’s), Madison Attanasio (TCNJ)
Key returners: Jeri Belardo (GK – Sr), Mia Scalamadre (MF – So), Tori Hill (MF – Sr), Becca Margolis (FWD – So)
Others to watch: Casey McAlister (D – Sr) Kayla Robinson (FWD – Jr) Lauren D’Amelia (D – Jr)
Strengths/Question Marks: “The 2015-16 Indians have a ton of character. Their speed up top will be very tough to match. With Jeri Belardo returning in goal, the Indians are sure to be tough to score on. Combine that with a dynamic pair at Central Midfield (Scalamadre and Hill) and this year Indians should be very competitive in the SOL National. If there are any question marks for this years team it is in their depth.”
Outlook: “This year’s Indians are led by a senior class of just four. Therefore, this is a young bunch of enthusiastic kids who are excited to get the regular season going. There are two keys for the Indians this season: 1) how fast can the new players adapt to the speed of play at the varsity level and 2) Can the big guns of the Indians stay healthy, as they cannot afford to have any major injuries since they have limited depth on the bench to work with. In the end, I would expect the Indians to be battling for a playoff spot, and if the chemistry comes along sooner than later, don’t be surprised to see CRN competing for a SOL National title, come mid-October.”
