MEN’S BASKETBALL
Senior guard Mark Wonderling (Souderton) contributed season highs of eight points and nine rebounds and a career-best six assists in Ursinus College’s 92-68 win over Rosemont on Tuesday.

Gwynedd Mercy junior Arron Goodman (Council Rock North) was selected the Colonial States Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Dec. 21. Goodman led the Griffins with a team-high 21 points in their 93-87 victory over Eastern in the HoopMIAD3 Holiday Shootout in Miami. He added 19 points the next night in a 77-71 loss to Hartwick. For the tournament, he averaged 20.0 ppg and 7.5 rpg while shooting 15-of-23 (65.2 percent) from the field and 8-of-9 at the free throw line.

Tim Abruzzo (Pennridge) contributed 16 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal in Navy's 62-49 win over Furman on Tuesday.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Junior Lauren Crisler (North Penn) finished with 12 points and a career-high nine rebounds to lead American University to a 52-48 win over Manhattan last Sunday. In Tuesday’s 76-58 loss to Pittsburgh, Crisler had 10 points and seven rebounds.

Alvernia junior Tyra Roberts (Bensalem) was named MAC Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week for the week ending Dec. 20. Roberts led Alvernia to two wins with 34 points and 25 rebounds. The Bensaem graduate scored 13 points and pulled down eight rebounds in a win over Drew. The junior then recorded a double-double with 21 points and a career-high 17 rebounds in a win over Washington & Lee. Roberts, who was also named the Alvernia Player of the Week, marks the Crusaders first Athlete of the Week recipient for the winter sports season.

Alysha Lofton (Central Bucks South) scored 17 points in No. 20 Albright’s 75-58 win over Cabrini last Sunday. With the win, Albright improved to 10-0 on the season.

Senior Ciara ‘CC’ Andrews (Cheltenham) scored a team-high 13 points, including a basket at the buzzer ending the first half to pull St. Joseph’s to within 39-34 of No. 3 Notre Dame on Monday night. Notre Dame went on to earn a 91-55 win.

FOOTBALL
West Chester University senior defensive end Andrew Cohen (Council Rock South) was named to the 2015 Associated Press Little All-America squad. Cohen, who has already reaped his fair share of postseason honors, adds yet another accolade to his trophy case with the announcement of the AP Little All-America team, which is made up of NCAA Division II and III players, along with NAIA players. Cohen, who was also a national finalist for the Gene Upshaw Award and the Cliff Harris Award, finished up a stellar college career this past fall by breaking the PSAC all-time record for sacks. He registered 13.5 sacks this season, leading the PSAC in that category, along with leading the league in tackles for a loss (20). Cohen, who was also named the PSAC Eastern Division Defensive Player of the Year and was a D2CCA All-Super Region I first team selection, broke the conference record for career sacks with 33.5. His 13.5 sacks this past fall ranked fifth nationally. His 20 tackles for a loss ranked 17th nationally as well. He is a three-time All-PSAC East selection and a two-time first team pick. He was also named first team All-ECAC.
