“All three of them are leaders,” coach Kathie Sims said. “They’re just good examples, they’re great teammates, and they play hard every game. They play with their hearts, and I couldn’t be more proud of all three of them. They’re great girls.”

Cassidy Quattro – Washington College (Basketball)
Major:
Sports Medicine
Final list of colleges:  Washington College, Goldey-Beacom, Philadelphia University, Ursinus, Brandeis
Reasons for choosing Washington College:  “I loved the location of the school – it’s by the water, it’s really pretty. The team was just great. They were very inviting, and when I met them, I just loved hanging around with them and being around that atmosphere. The coaches are great, the staff is great, the athletic program is great and the sports medicine – it’s perfect.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in basketball at the collegiate level?  “I knew as soon as I hit high school, and my parents said, ‘If you’re serious about this, you have to start really being involved now.’ The same with my brother (Zach Quattro), he started his freshman year really pursuing it - playing AAU all year round, not stopping. I really took it serious my freshman year and from then on.”
Basketball coach Kathie Sims says:  “We look to Cass for at least 10-12 points a game. She’s consistent on the scoring. We look for her to score, to rebound, to play defense, and she does it. She is a leader.”
Assistant volleyball coach Erika Richards says:  “There’s one thing Cassidy does great on the volleyball court, and that’s being a leader. It’s the little things you have to remember - it’s the first girl to come in and put up the net or get the balls ready and the last one at practice to put things away. Those things mean something. Even as you go away to college – college coaches are going to look for that. They’re not going to look for the girl who’s the last one in the weight room and the first one out of the weight room. They are looking for those girls who want to make themselves better. Cassidy displayed that in volleyball. I know (Erin and Haley) are great role models too. These are girls you should look up to and watch what they do.”

Haley Seifert – Allegheny College (Basketball)
Major:
Economics/Spanish
Final list of colleges:  Allegheny, Union College, Arcadia, Widener
Reasons for choosing Allegheny:  “Something that stood out to me with Allegheny is that it was close, and it was a small school, and that’s something I was looking for. Also, the academics there is something I was very interested in. There are three colleges, and you have to take two classes in one, minor in the other and major in the third one. I thought that was very unique.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in basketball at the collegiate level?  “When I was younger, I never thought I could play in college. My freshman year I was out hurt, and just the fact that I was out missing basketball made me love it that much more. Then I started playing AAU, and the AAU process was just so interesting to me, and just the thought that I could go play in college made it that much better.”
Coach Kathie Sims says:  “Our team feeds off of Haley. She is the heart of the team. She plays so hard, and she leads by example. They follow what she does. She sets the tone, and the younger kids look up to her. She hustles, and she’s always rebounding. She pushes the kids.”

Favorite music:  Country

Erin Wingen – Immaculata University (Basketball)
Major:
Nutrition and Dietetics
Final list of colleges:  Immaculata, Marywood
Reasons for choosing Immaculata:  “I went on an overnight to Immaculata. The girls were really nice, and I loved the coach. I could just picture myself going there.”
What was the progression that led you to playing basketball at the collegiate level?  “After I tore my ACL last year, I wasn’t really thinking about it before that, but once I couldn’t play, I realized I don’t want to stop playing.”
Coach Kathie Sims says:  “Erin played her freshman year but didn’t play her sophomore or junior years and has come back. For her, it was a little bit of still learning the program and learning about us because she didn’t play last year. As the season goes on, she is doing everything we need her to do. That’s the kind of player Erin is. She did what we needed her to do the whole season, and she still can develop.”
