Strengths:  Strong defense & depth of pitching staff, team athleticism & speed

Outlook:  “Despite graduating 13 after a successful 2015 campaign, we will return some quality experienced players.  First team All-SOL National senior pitcher Zack Conley (Bloomsburg commit) heads the pitching staff. Conley was 7-2 last year with his only two losses coming to PIAA state playoff teams (Owen J Roberts in Districts & North Penn) and earned three wins including the Championship in the Carpenter Cup.  We return second team All-SOL National Junior 3B Billy Bethel.  Billy started 21 out of 26 games for us last season and led the team with a .483 OBP.  Junior catcher Dave Murphy played in 13 games and started five games last season due to an injury to a senior and won all five games in that stretch.  Junior outfielders Vaughn and Justin Ward saw starts and defensive playing time while junior Tyrone Hodges had 51 ABs in 20 games last year in LF/CF. Senior Bryen Kimbrough and junior Ryan McCarty (returned from Notre Dame HS) are expected to compete for middle infield positions. Junior Nick Price and sophomores Kyle Dear and Josh Tesarck are expected to compete for first base and designated hitter positions.  A large group of junior and sophomore athletes will round out our team as we expect to defend our SOL National League title and compete in District and State playoffs.”
