CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH SOFTBALL PREVIEW

Coach:  Dan Hayes (5th year)

Assistant coach:  Victor Volpe

Last year’s record:  15-6 overall, 10-4 SOL

Notable losses:  Maddie Decker (University of Maine), Hope Darreff

Key returners:  Jr. Meghan Bradley (Catcher), Jr. Maddi Bieber (third base), Jr. Taylor Marinelli (first base), Jr. Alexis McConomy (pitcher/outfield)

Others to watch:  Soph. Mikaela Simons (shortstop), Soph. Alex DeLeon (second base)

Strengths:  “We feel our offense should produce runs, and we do have depth at most positions.”

Question marks:  “Will we get the pitching and defense needed to compete in the league? Time will tell.”

Outlook:  “We do have some team goals that the players recognize, and with only one senior on the team, we’re counting on the experienced underclassmen for leadership.
“This incoming freshman group is probably the best group since the 2012 team came in as freshmen. Very talented group, and they are pushing sophs and juniors, and the competition can only be positive for all.”
