NORTH PENN SOFTBALL PREVIEW

Head Coach:  Rick Torresani (16th year)    

Assistant Coaches:  Mary Ward, Jen Conrad, Beth DeFeo           

Last year’s record: SOL  12-2  Overall  19-3,  Continental Conference Champion

  • Jovanna Alfonsi (Sr. catcher, signed to play softball at Philadelphia University)
  • Katie Beer ( Sr. shortstop)
  • Melanie Lauro  (Sr. Outfield)
  • Bri Battavio  (Jr.  Pitcher)
  • Courtney Neil ( Soph. Outfield)
  • Kate Knab (Sr. outfield).

Outlook:  “With the experience of Jovanna Alfonsi behind the plate, Katie Beer at shortstop,

Bri Battavio on the mound and Courtney Neil in centerfield, North Penn will be strong up the middle.  The addition of senior Melanie Lauro, transfer Kariam Bou and newcomers Jordan Pietrzykoski , Elia Namey, Tori Chiu and Liz Williams will provide NP added experience in the field and at the plate.”
