Dan Branch – Albright College (Football)

Major:  Undecided

Final list of colleges:  Albright, Susquehanna, Misericordia

Reasons for choosing Albright:  “It was just the right fit for me - when I stepped on campus, I just felt something. I liked the school, I liked the campus, and I liked the football, so it was the right choice for me.”

What was the progression that led to you competing in football at the collegiate level?  “I really wanted to start playing (in college) when I was really young. In my sophomore year when I actually started seeing action in games, I was like, ‘Wow, I could actually do something with this.’ As I realized maybe this could be a reality, I started to try really hard and started working and noticed I could actually do this. When I actually committed – it’s a dream come true.”

Coach Jeff Hollenbach says:  “It’s pretty easy to talk about Dan. He just plays with a high motor. He is all energy all the time. He played right tackle for us for two years. As an example, if we ran sweep left so the ball is on the left side, he is coming across the field, and there are a lot of times he’s 10-15 yards downfield just because of his energy and his passion for the game. His straight-up blocks, his power blocks were good, and I think he’ll be a really good D-3 player. He just has an incredible attitude, he’s a hard worker in the weight room and on the field. We’ll definitely miss him. He’s a great young man.”
