Reasons for choosing Arcadia: “I was looking at a lot of schools that weren’t for basketball – Bloomsburg, Kutztown and East Stroudsburg, and for basketball, I was getting looks from DeSales, Ursinus and Allegheny.
“Arcadia was definitely the frontrunner college for trying to get me to come there. They were very active with me. I went to some of the games to see some of the guys play. They seemed like a great group, and the coaches really know what they’re talking about. They’re all about winning there, and I think it’s just a great program.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in basketball at the collegiate level? “Growing up, I always had older brothers, and they went off to play college sports. I wanted to follow in their footsteps but take my own path and play basketball, which is the sport I love the most.”
Coach Josh Adelman says: “Will was one of those players that really continued to improve every year that we had him. He played such a vital role this year for us. He really held the fort down when the football players were out. He was our starting center, and he really picked up his scoring, and that leadership part of his game really rose to the forefront. I saw him being more vocal and more of a leader on the floor. He just continued to improve, and he became a real challenge for the other schools to compete against because he works so well up and down the floor. He’s a very quick player, he’s relentless on the boards, and his scoring touch really improved around the basket, but he can also hit that 15-footer. He did a lot for us and allowed us to have a really good season.”
