STERLING LIMOUSINE AND TRANSPORTATION
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Sterling Limo Offensive Players of the Game:
First Star:  Darryl Davis-McNeil, Abington –
The junior running back rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries in the Ghosts’ 27-0 win over Cheltenham in the ‘Rivals Unite’ game between the neighboring schools. He also threw an 85-yard touchdown pass to George Reid to seal the Ghosts’ first win of the season.
Coach Kevin Conlin says:  “Darryl is an explosive runner who is taking on a bigger workload as the season goes on. He has embraced the concept of being a top running back as well as a change of pace quarterback.”

Second Star: Reece Udinski, North Penn – The senior quarterback was almost perfect in the Knights’ 38-0 win over Pennsbury, completing 19-of-23 passes for 315 yards.

Third Star: Jordan Freeman, Harry S Truman – The senior quarterback had 201 combined yards in the air and on the ground in Truman’s 30-21 win over William Tennent.
Third Star: Sterlen Barr, Upper Moreland – The junior running back rushed for 203 yards and three touchdowns in the Bears’ 41-34 win over Upper Perkiomen.

Sterling Limo Defensive Players of the Game:
First star: Corey Cepeda, Central Bucks West –
The senior defensive lineman was credited with 10 ½ tackles – including two for a loss – in a dominant performance in Central Bucks West’s 21-12 win over Quakertown.
Coach Chas Cathers says:  “Last year Corey backed up Noah Hill and Sal Tossona, and those two players were instrumental in how we played on defense. Corey spelled at times those two, but this offseason we really saw the type of leader Corey is. He stepped up in the weight room, and he did a great job motivating our players. Yesterday at practice, I told him, ‘We’re really going to miss you’ because he’s such a vocal leader and a guy that leads by example. He’s very passionate about the game. He’s one of those players that’s going to give you 110 percent each play and do his best to contribute to the team.
“He had 10 ½ tackles against Quakertown, and you don’t see that often from a defensive lineman. We expect that from guys like (linebackers) Jake Reichwein and TJ Rakowsky, but you don’t see that often on the defensive line. He’s really starting to understand what we’re teaching him and taking the technique to heart. That’s only going to increase his game.”

Sterling Limo Special Teams Players of the Game:

First star:  Dylan McDonald, Neshaminy – The senior kicker has been a study in consistency for the Redskins, converting 6-of-6 extra points and totaling 329 yards on seven kickoffs with one touchback in Neshaminy’s 42-14 win over Downingtown West.
Coach Steve Wilmot says:  “Dylan is a coach’s dream – a four-year kicker. He shows a lot of maturity balancing football and soccer. His leg is stronger than ever, and his attitude is great.”

Second star:  Brian Stella, Central Bucks East – After blocking a pair of punts in East’s win over Hatboro-Horsham a week earlier, Stella blocked another punt for a touchdown in the Patriots’ 42-6 route of Methacton. The senior linebacker also had six tackles and averaged four yards a carry out of the backfield.

SOL Honor Roll:
Chris Edwards, Hatboro-Horsham –
The junior quarterback completed 12-of-21 passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns and also rushed for 91 yards, accounting for 271 yards of total offense in Hatboro-Horsham’s 42-27 loss to Souderton.
Mason Jones, Neshaminy – The senior quarterback threw for 279 yards and three touchdowns in Neshaminy’s 42-14 win over Downingtown West.
Koby Khan, Souderton – The senior running back had 130 yards and five touchdowns in Souderton’s 42-27 win over Hatboro-Horsham.
Zach Tredway, Neshaminy – The senior wide receiver was sidelined for the better part of the Redskins’ win over Pennridge after taking a blow to the head, but he returned to the lineup a week later, finishing with six receptions for 123 yards and a touchdown in Neshaminy’s 42-14 win over Downingtown West. On the defensive side of the ball, he had one pass breakup.”
Michael Welde, Council Rock North – The junior running back had 150-plus all-purpose yards in the Indians’ 54-20 loss to Coatesville, including an 84-yard kick return and a 75-yard touchdown run.
