CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 2 (19-25, 25-20, 20-25, 25-12, 15-13)
The Bucks and Titans found themselves in another war, and it was the Titans rallying from a 2-1 deficit to earn the gutsy win.
"I thought we did an outstanding job tonight,” South coach Kurt Godfrey said. “We got off to a little bit of a slow start in the first set but did a great job of coming back and winning the second set.  You could tell at the end of the second set that neither team wanted to give an inch.  West is a great team that played extraordinary defense throughout the entire match.  They were focused all night long and made us earn each point.  It's a tough inner-district battle and it's a big win for us tonight."
Senior outside hitter Megan Manderson had another big night, finishing with 18 kills, two aces and 20 digs. Senior libero Morgan McCrory led the defense with 38 digs to go along with two aces and three assists. Alyssa Dallmer added 11 kills and three blocks, and setters Kelly Danyluk (23 assists, nine kills, four aces, one block) and Erica Werner (22 assists, 13 digs, three aces) both had big nights.
"I think from an offensive standpoint we were able to get some big plays from girls when we needed them,” Godfrey said. “Alyssa Dallmer was huge for us tonight in the middle.  One of our starting middles was in a car accident this morning, so I asked Alyssa to step into a middle role for us tonight.  She handled it with such incredible poise and composure.
“Megan Manderson and Kelly Danyluk had solid nights at the net and at the service line for us.  Defensively, I think we hustled all night and picked up a lot.  Morgan McCrory was all over the court and she truly has been an emotional leader for us all season."
Also making significant contributions were Kayla Dougherty (five kills, seven digs), Sydney Hauser (five kills, four blocks) and Caroline Choromanski (four aces, six digs).
"I thought we came together exceptionally well as a team and did what we had to do to get the win tonight,” Godfrey said. “I couldn't be prouder of my girls as a team and really think they fought their butts off all night long tonight."
For the Bucks, setter Kayla King had 35 assists, four aces and three kills. Katie Hudson (11 kills, two aces), April Neeld (seven kills, one block, two aces), Dana Miller (five kills) and Lauren McNamee (three kills, six blocks) led the Bucks at the net. Katerina Yankanich had nine kills on 22 attempts (.318 kill hitting percentage) to go along with the team's second high of 13 digs, an assist and an ace. “Hadley came out on fire and played fantastic tonight,” coach Mike Adam said. “She ran all kinds of plays and put away slides, front and back one balls and 31's.
“Hadley really brought her A game and senior leadership tonight. We played against a very improved team from last year and it's awesome to see the teams in our conference getting better.  Coach Tom and the Bensalem girls are going to be a team that can and will upset some teams by the end of the season.”
