Maddi Bieber – Moravian College (Softball)

Major:  Sports Management

Final list of colleges:  Moravian, Post, Arcadia

Reasons for choosing Moravian:  “I really liked the campus and the coach for softball.”

What was the progression that led you competing in softball at the collegiate level?  “I’ve always wanted to play softball in college - I just want to keep on playing. I was doing the Carpenter Cup team last year, and the Moravian coach was there. He just had an interest in me. I started looking into the school, and I liked it.”

Coach Kevin Rosini says:  “Maddi leads by example, and that was evident to me right from the beginning - from fall workouts to the winter. She’s a quiet leader, and her teammates love her. She goes out and plays hard and had a really good season for us in every phase.
“She’s a very good third baseman, and her defense was rock solid all season. Hitting – she contributed quite a bit. She drove in a lot of runs for us. For her to be the three hitter for us all season long from day one and she played every inning of every game at third base, you couldn’t ask for anything more. Her enthusiasm, her attitude - just everything. She was one of our captains, and we’re going to miss her a lot. Moravian is a good program, and they are getting a very good ball player.”
