National Conference

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 1 (25-16, 14-25, 25-23, 25-22)
In another classic battle between the neighboring rivals, it was the Bucks winning in four sets.
“Emotions were high and there was some great volleyball,” East coach Kerri Rabberman said.
The Bucks were led by the 17-kill effort of Amanda Mass. Kate Hudson added nine kills, one ace, one block and 22 digs. Setter Ana Claricurzio had five aces, one kill, 27 assists and 10 digs. Maggie Winderman led the defense with 26 digs and five assists. Also making important contributions were Mackenzie Brooks (five kills, one block, 23 digs), Grace Manganelli (12 digs) and Naomi Woo (one kill, two blocks).
For the Patriots, Jenn Krzeminski led the way with 14 kills and seven blocks. Morgan Beakley led the defense with 18 digs. Anna Ritter contributed 26 assists with four aces. Morgan D'Angelo, according to Rabberman, played great defense along with Courtney Woolslayer. Makaila Freeman was very effective with her four kills and blocks. Ysabelle Minschwaner was all over the place this game with amazing defense of 15 kills and also had six blocks. 

WILLIAM TENNENT 3, NESHAMINY 0 (25-19, 25-13, 25-17)
The Panthers earned their first win of the young season with a sweep of the Redskins. As a team, Tennent had 21 aces. Nicole Long (seven aces), Lauren Yancer (five aces) and Kelsey O’Shea (five aces) were consistent from the service area throughout the match.
“I was really proud of our aggressive serving and the way the girls continue to fight for each other,” coach Brian Bassler said.
On defense, Mackenzie Lockett contributed seven blocks while Stephanie Woolston had 13 digs. Offensively, Kelly Scipione led the team in assists with nine. Nicole Long converted 9 of 14 kill attempts. Shaina Gatton had six kills out of 14 attempts, and Devyn Cobb finished with five kills out of nine attempts.

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 1
Rock North senior setter Sarah Caola had 19 assists, four kills and four aces while senior outside hitter Alyssa Coates had nine kills, 15 digs and one ace. Senior middle hitter Mackenzie Tinner added five kills, two aces, two blocks and three digs. Her younger sister, sophomore opposite Kylie Tinnner, had four kills. Senior outside hitter Maddy Moore had five kills, six aces and 16 digs.

PENNSBURY 3, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 0 (25-13, 25-12, 30-28)
Julia Vreeswyk and Sydney Buell once again provided a dangerous one-two punch for the Falcons. Vreeswyk led the way with 14 kills to go along with a team high 11 digs. She also had four service aces and one block. Buell added 11 kills, seven digs, three aces and one block. Elley Torres contributed eight kills, six digs and two aces. Heather Linker had eight digs and one ace, and setter Kiley Buckman had seven digs, two aces, 34 assists and one kill. Shelby Hastings and Brooke Burns both had three kills and one dig.

ABINGTON 3, WISSAHICKON 0
Setter Anna Bantner handed out 29 assists and also had four aces to lead the Ghosts in their sweep of the Trojans. Hannah Dalton led the way at the net with 11 kills and seven digs. Grace Whitney added seven kills and three blocks. Fabiola Gonzales led the defense with 12 digs, and Amanda Rice had 10 digs and four aces.

Continental Conference

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 3, SOUDERTON 0 (25-22, 27-25, 25-19)
The Indians put up a battle, but the Colonials earned the sweep.
Leading the Colonials were Gillian Conner (three aces, seven kills, 14 digs) and Lily Acquaviva (13 kills, eight digs).
For the Indians, setter Talia Watson had 24 assists, six digs and three aces. Bella Mazzeo led the defense with 16 digs. Tori Reiner had a team high 11 kills while Haley Novak had eight kills, 10 digs and two aces. Maria Iervolino had five kills and five digs, Erin Brady had two kills and three blocks, and Amelia Hanson had five digs.

UPPER DUBLIN 3, QUAKERTOWN 0 (25-20, 25-12, 25-16)
Sharon Yoast had 13 kills, three aces and two digs to lead the Cardinals in their sweep of the Panthers. Setter Bryn Stek had 27 assists, four aces, three kills and four digs. Maggie Weglos led the defense with 17 digs to go along with three aces, four kills and two assists. Gari Beidner had four kills and one dig.

HATBORO-HORSHAM 3, PENNRIDGE 0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-18)
Sophomore Cam Wild led the offense in Wednesday’s sweep of the Rams with 12 kills (.500), 10 digs and three aces. Senior Katerina Yankanich had 10 kills (.316) with 10 digs and three aces. Junior setter Rachel Dittus had 30 assists, and an ace. Senior libero Maddie Kallmeyer led the defense with 12 digs and five aces. Hatboro-Horsham takes on non-league C.B. West at home on Thursday.

NORTH PENN 3, CHELTENHAM 1
For the Panthers, Samerrah Waheed led the way at the net with six kills and one dig. Megan Dougherty added five kills, seven digs and two aces, and Mary Hoffman had nine digs and one kill.
