COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 1 (25-21, 19-25, 25-23, 25-18)
The Golden Hawks picked up a hard fought win over the visiting Indians, and there was no mistaking the win’s significance.
“This was a big win for us,” coach John Wright said. “The seniors have been waiting four years for this. I am very happy for them.
“North is always a tough team and the rivalry between our schools makes it even more intense. We have a nice mixture of experience and youth that is developing some nice chemistry on the court.”
Hannah Sullivan led a balanced Golden Hawk attack at the net with 10 kills. Celina Varian added nine kills and led the defense with 43 digs. Ariana Ranieri contributed seven kills and 33 digs, and Lauren Koestler also had seven kills. Setters Hannah Devlin and Paige O’Connell, according to Wright, set a “masterful match” with 18 and 17 assists respectively.

UPPER DUBLIN 3, SOUDERTON 1 (25-21, 25-23, 23-25, 25-16)
Coach Paul Choi called Friday’s win over the visiting Indians a great team win that saw everyone contribute.
Bryn Stek had a monster match to lead the Cardinals, delivering 11 service aces, 10 kills, 36 assists and 12 digs to finish with a rare quadruple double. Maggie Weglos led the Cards at the net with 13 kills to go along with three aces, one assist and 12 digs. Annie Faust led the defense with 17 digs, one ace and three assists. Sarah Sharp contributed nine digs and three aces, and Sharon Yoast had six kills, five digs and one ace. Kara Grebe added five kills, three blocks and two digs.
For the Indians, setter Talia Watson had 25 assists, nine digs and two aces. Tori Reiner led the way at the net with 10 kills and six aces. Maria Iervolino added seven kills, 10 digs and four aces. Haley Novak had four kills, 18 digs and two aces. Erin Brady contributed six kills and four blocks, and Bella Mazzeo had 12 digs. Amelia Hanson added six digs.

ABINGTON 3, CHELTENHAM 0 (25-8, 25-2, 25-3)
Kaley Ehnow had 14 kills and five blocks to lead the Ghosts at the net in their sweep of the Panthers. Setter Anna Banter had 22 assists and five aces, and Grace Whitney added six kills and two blocks. Hannah Dalton had five kills.
For the Panthers, Najeh Edens had three kills. Megan Dougherty added one kill and five digs, and Mary Hoffman had seven digs.

PENNSBURY 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 0 (25-10, 25-18, 25-17)
The Falcons earned a sweep of the visiting Panthers, but Tennent coach Brian Bassler had nothing but good things to say about his team’s effort.
“Our girls played extremely scrappy, and it was the most consistent defense we played all year,” the Panthers’ coach said.
Leading the Panthers were setter Kelly Scipione (14 assists), Stephanie Woolston (15 digs) and Devyn Cobb (eight kills).
Tennent will play a doubleheader at home on Monday.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, HARRY S TRUMAN 0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-19)
Katie Hudson had another big match for the Bucks, leading her team to a sweep of the Tigers with 16 kills, three aces and five digs. Setter Ana Claricurzio had 24 assists. Maggie Winderman led the defense with 13 digs and four aces. Also contributing were Mackenzie Brooks (three kills, five aces, three digs), Maddie Corona (five kills), Amanda Mass (four kills) and Juliana Stumpf (three aces, eight assists).

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, BENSALEM 0
Kerri Rabberman credited her players for delivering “great team play” while missing a few girls in Friday’s sweep of the Owls.
“It was awesome to be able to get other girls in and watch everyone do the little things,” the Patriots’ coach said.

NORTH PENN 3, WISSAHICKON 0

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, HATBORO-HORSHAM 2 (25-16, 19-25, 19-25, 25-21, 15-6)
The visiting Bucks rallied from a 2-1 deficit to win the next two sets and earn the hard fought win.
Kate Hudson led the Bucks with 16 kills, one ace, one block, eight digs and two assists. Mackenzie Brooks (five kills, three aces, one block, 14 digs), Casey Taylor (four kills, one ace, one block, 12 digs) and Naomi Woo (two kills, four blocks) also contributed at the net.
Setter Ana Claricurzio had 24 assists, 14 digs and one aces. Maggie Winderman’s 41 digs led the Bucks defensively. She also had a pair of assists. Grace Manganelli added 13 digs.
