Monday September 25 North Penn vs. Quakertown in girls volleyball

North Penn defeated Quakertown in straight sets (25–12, 25–16, 25–16) to improve to 4-6 on the season. The Knights welcomed back Junior setter Emily Cooper from her broken finger injury in the second set of the season. "It was great to see and hear the team get so excited for Emily's return to game action" said Coach Scott Coles "I am proud of Emily and positive attitude during injury; she is a true teammate! While sidelined she was at every practice and helped with stats on game day"
Junior Libero Francesca Dolan led the defense with 19 passes and 5 digs. Jr opposite hitter Gina Moffa added 18 passes and 2 aces. The knights had 17 aces in the match including five each by defensive specialists Jr Diana Pisut and Sr Sarah Lilly, who also added 3 digs.
Sophomore outside hitter Natalie Wernly finished the night with 2 aces and 6 kills to lead the Knights offense. Sr middle Jessica Thompson and Jr setter Alycia Powers added four kills each.
