CENTRAL BUCKS EAST BOYS’ BASKETBALL PREVIEW

 

Head coach:  Erik Henrysen, 8th year

 

Assistant coaches:  Brian Yannarella, Jimmy Katasak, Jon McArdle, Anthony Magallanes, and Joe Laphen

 

Last year’s record:  13-12 overall; (6-6 SOL Continental)
District Tournament win (#15 CR South, 2 OT’s)
District Tournament Round of 16 loss (#2 PW)
District Playback loss (#10 Lower Merion, 3 OT’s)

 

Notable losses:  Matt Pattyson (1st Team All-League), Elijah Seger (3rd Team All-League), Ryan Plack (HM All-League), Cooper Fink, Sean Dann

 

Key returners:  Collin Stein (12/Guard), Kyle Cassidy (12/Guard), Nick Roggio (11/Center)

 

Others to watch:  Ben Markowitz (11/F), Jesse Rivera (12/PG)

 

Strengths:  Perimeter play and skilled guards.   

 

Question Marks: Lack of experience will be an obstacle to overcome.  Size and roster depth is also an issue.   

 

Outlook:  A challenging schedule (including non-league games against Abington, Pennsbury, CR South, Wissahickon, Upper Dublin, Pottsgrove Tip-off and 3 games against national competition in Florida over the holiday) will determine if a third straight district tournament appearance is possible.
