ABINGTON 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 1
The Ghosts eked out a win in a tightly-contested game. Colin Bruton’s power play goal with assists from Perry Carpenter and Nikolai Portner late in the second period broke a scoreless tie and gave the Ghosts a lead they would not lose.
Shane Bowler turned a Bruton pass into a goal 4:47 into the third period to put the Ghosts on top 2-0. Richard Kaczmarczyk (Rob Kern assist) found the net with a goal that cut Abington’s lead in half, but Ryan Gosselin tacked on an insurance goal late for the 3-1 win.
Abington goalie Jacob Snellenburg turned away 27 of 28 shots he faced in the winning effort.

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 5, WILLIAM TENNENT 4
The Indians opened up a 4-1 lead after two periods and then withstood a late comeback rally by the Panthers. Zac Herman’s power play goal with assists from John Vanni and Brandon Simmonds 11:29 into the final period broke a 4-4 tie and turned out to be the game winner.
In the opening minutes of the first period, goals by Herman (Simmonds assist) and Cavan Tully (Daniel Guest assists) spotted the Indians a 2-0 lead. Zach Devor put the Panthers on the board in the closing minute to make it a 2-1 game.
In the second period, Vanni found the net on a short-handed goal, and Guest used assists from Vanni and William Sohn for a goal that put the Indians on top 4-1.
Back-to-back goals by Mason McKeever – the first on a power play – made it a 4-3 game, and the two teams were deadlocked when David Gray (Thomas Hartenstein/Jared George assists) scored 6:22 into the period, setting the stage for Herman’s dramatic game winner.
Council Rock North’s Rex Goldberg turned away 18 of 22 shots for the win in goal. Eric Lineman recorded 36 saves for the Panthers.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 9, NORTH PENN 5
Matt Stoll scored four goals – three in the final period – and assisted on another to lead the Titans to the hard-fought win.
The game started out on a promising note for the Knights, who led 2-0 after one period. Josh Kaufhold (George Boyle/Jared Albano assists) put the Knights on the scoreboard in the opening minute of the game.
The second period belonged to the Titans, who outscored the Knights 5-1 to go on top 5-3. Evan King, Reis Braccio, Colin Abbonizio, Tyler Boylan and Stoll each scored for the Titans with Abbonizio and Boylan finding the net on power plays and Stoll connecting on a short-handed goal.
Albano’s power play goal 2:53 into the final period made it a 5-4 game, but Alex Glushek (Abbonizio assist) answered for the Titans. Jake Nelson (Tyler Greenstein assist) scored to pull the Titans to within one, but Stoll closed it out with three straight goals to seal the win for the Titans.
