SOL Boys' Volleyball Wrap (3-28-18)

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-18)
Carter Haban excelled for the Patriots, accumulating 18 kills, two aces, an assist and a block. Andrew Bennett was also stellar, adding six kills, two assists and, according to coach Rob Minschwiner, “terrific defense.” Steve Storm directed the attack, dishing out 33 assists and adding a block and an ace.
“Jacob LaBouliere was outstanding in the back row,” the Patriots’ coach said.
LaBouliere finished with 14 digs and an ace. Other contributors were Thomas Gallagher-Teske (two kills, two blocks), Christian Wolf (two kills), Pete Chiaravallo (one kill, one ace) and Jack Miller (one kill).
For the Titans, Jon Zonshein led the defense with eight digs. Sophomore Aidan O’Brien recorded an ace, block and assist, which were firsts for him at the varsity level. Middle Dylan Moser added a block in his first game back from an injury.

PENNRIDGE 3, QUAKERTOWN 0 (25-21, 25-23, 31-29)
The Panthers put up a tough fight, but the Rams prevailed, winning in three straight.
Ethan Lionetti had a team high eight kills, and Kevin Jones added seven. Zach Detweiler had four kills and two blocks. Mike Molettiere (four kills) and David Cassel (three kills) also contributed at the net. Jeremy Pruss had eight digs and two aces, and setter Corey Quaste had 25 assists.
For the Panthers, Logan Spieker had 11 kills, and Justin Flor had six. Setter Ty Fosbenner had 16 assists and nine digs.
Pennridge (2-0) will travel to North Penn on Monday.

SOUDERTON 3, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-12)
The Indians won in straight sets in their first match of the season.
Cole Nagle led the Bucks with 10 kills, and Eric Gibson had four kills and five digs. Jason Miller added six digs.

NORTH PENN 3, LANSDALE CATHOLIC 0
The Knights rolled to a sweep of their neighboring rival.
Setter Drew Coles spread the ball around, accumulating 24 assists to go along with one block, two kills and five digs. Alex Stoler had eight kills and one dig, and Michael Wang added seven kills, three blocks and 15 digs. Kevin Abraham added five kills. Deval Patel led the defense with 25 digs. Isaac Lambert had a strong service game with six aces. He also had 13 digs.

DOCK MENNONITE ACADEMY 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 2 (25-22, 26-24, 23-25, 23-25, 15-9)
The Pioneers won a grueling five-set war with the Panthers.
For the Panthers, Keith Mueller had 10 kills and two aces, and Charlie Green had eight. Bohdan Tkachov finished with seven kills, and Dennis Grabert added five kills.
